After four days of cooling down, he felt like he could actually have a good talk with Iris again.

Iris came out of the kitchen with breakfast and went into the dining room. Just as she was about to sit down, she unexpectedly saw Heriberto sitting on the living room sofa.

Early in the morning, he seemed very tired, leaning on the sofa, with his arm pressed against his forehead, covering his eyes.

I felt like sleeping.

All over, there was a sense of defeat that I had never felt before.

Iris was stunned.

When did he come back?

The chef and Agnese brought breakfast out from the kitchen, carefully arranged it, and set out two forks.

Iris sat down at the table and started eating breakfast as if nothing had happened.

Just took a sip of milk, Heriberto walked over, pulled out the chair opposite her, and sat down.

Iris didn’t even look at him when he was there like air.

Heriberto couldn’t stand being ignored like that, so he said coldly, “I’m not dead, just been away for a few days. Can’t you at least say hi?”

Iris heard it and thought it was kinda funny.

But she didn’t want to cause trouble, so she held back from laughing, looked up at Heriberto with a smile, and said, “Good morning, Mr. Hale.”

Breakfast was enough for two people.

Iris lowered her head again and continued to enjoy her breakfast.

Heriberto stared at her for a moment, feeling a bit speechless by her anger, and finally just gave in and started eating breakfast.

Today’s breakfast was two–thirds made by Iris, and the other one–third was made by the chef.
