Chapter 28
Iris looked at him, with a slight smile on her lips, and answered him word by word, “No, you never owed me anything. After the divorce, we’re even.”
She forcefully shook off Heriberto’s hand and left.
Megan looked at her as she left, and asked in surprise, “Heriberto, what did you just say? You said, the baby in Iris’s belly is not yours? Are you sure?”
Heriberto forcefully suppressed his anger and retorted, “How can you be so sure that the baby in her belly is mine?”
Megan heard this, pursed her lips unhappily, “You and Iris are married, you should know best if the baby she’s carrying is yours.”
Yeah, Iris was his wife, and he definitely knew better than anyone if the baby she was carrying was his.
For a long time, he never gave her a chance of possibly being pregnant.
He started to get a little annoyed again, and said coldly, “I have been taking precautions with her all along, under normal circumstances, she couldn’t have gotten pregnant.”
Megan heard this, breathed a sigh of relief, and then asked, “Are you divorcing her because you think the baby in Iris’s belly isn’t yours?”
If Heriberto had only taken precautions because he doubted that Iris could get pregnant, then she can be sure that the baby Iris is carrying is definitely Heriberto’s.

After all, it was her doing, she doesn’t know who knows.
Heriberto heard that, frowned at Megan, and stayed silent.
“If that’s the case, then it’s easy.”
Megan didn’t show any flaws on her face, then said, “When Iris goes for her prenatal check–up, they will draw blood for various tests. If you’re not sure, we can do a paternity test with Iris’s blood at that time. If the child is really not yours, you should really leave Iris, Dad and I won’t stop you.”
Heriberto looked at her, gave a cool smile, with a mysterious meaning.
He didn’t say anything, then turned around and left directly.
He also didn’t know why he had to rush back when he found out Megan had called Iris back to Rivera Bay.
Was it just to catch a glimpse of her?
These days he couldn’t see her, he was feeling upset and confused.
Now that he saw her, he seemed even more annoyed.
Iris didn’t take a nap at noon. On the way back, she leaned back in her seat and fell asleep without realizing it.
She didn’t know how long she had been sleeping, suddenly, the driver slammed on the brakes and woke her up.
Luckily she was wearing a seatbelt, her body poppe out and then got pulled back in, close call.
The driver was also scared, and quickly turned around nervously asking, “Ms. Aguilera, are you okay?”

Iris took a deep breath, shook her head, and said, “What’s going on?”
“A woman suddenly rushed out and scared me half to death,” the driver said, sweating.
Just as he finished speaking, a woman with long hair scattered over her shoulders slowly stood up, leaning on the front of the car.
Looks like he got hurt.
Iris furrowed her brow, quickly unbuckled her seatbelt, and pushed open the door to get out.
The driver saw a woman ahead and quickly pulled over.
“Hello, how are you? Where does it hurt?”
Iris quickly walked up to the woman, saw her hunched over in pain, and quickly went to help her.
The woman looked up at Iris, was about to shake her head, but suddenly heard a voice behind her.
Seemingly scared, she suddenly shook all over, turned her head back in extreme fear.
