As night fell, Joycelyn changed out of the second wedding dress and put on a simple evening gown. 

If she had it her way, she would have changed into something more casual. Then, she would take a walk after dinner. After all, she valued leisure and comfort. 

However, she noticed that Ellison was still in his suit and their dinner was being set up on the beach outside. 

Thinking of the romantic atmosphere, she couldn’t possibly wear casual flared pants to spoil the mood. 

As soon as she came out of the changing room, the attendants went in to get her wedding dress and put it away. 

Joycelyn did not forget to admire the island scenery as she headed out. 

Ellison had told her that this villa housed the staff. They were to live in the villa area on the island’s east.

Joycelyn allowed him to hold her hand. Her clear eyes were fixed on his well–defined side profile. 

He was not wearing a suit jacket or tie, which made him look more casual and much gentler. 

Joycelyn liked to peek at him when he was holding her hand. 

At moments like this, he would be focused on the road and wouldn’t notice her gaze. 

Stealing a peek at him at such moments was her unique expression of love for him, which also gave her a unique sense of security.

Joycelyn had been pecking at Ellison, but when he asked if she liked the outdoor dinner setting, she retracted her gaze looked at the setting sun in the distance.

Waves from the endless sea crashed against the beach. The orange sunset, azure sea, and blue sky made it feel as if they were in a fairytale world. 

Romance became tangible at this moment. 

“I love it! I like the feeling of freedom, Joycelyn giggled. She took off her high heels and stepped on the soft beach. 

Ellison smiled and watched her act like a child, 

His obsession with cleanliness was no longer important at this moment. It was fine as long as she liked it and was happy. 

“An environment like this seems suited for barbecue too, Joycelyn said. 

“Barbecue?” Ellison frowned slightly and said nothing for a few seconds. 

Joycelyn did not notice his serious expression and started explaing to him, “Yeah, barbecue. The smell of smoke and fire. Watching the sunset while enjoying the sea breeze and barbecuing. How romantic.” 

She walked to the dining table and looked at the exquisite food on the table. Still, she could not let the idea of a barbecue out of her mind. 

Recalling how much smoke would be bellowing around during a barbeque, Ellison fell silent. 

“You don’t like barbeque?” Realizing that Ellison hadn’t responded to her, Joycelyn turned around and saniled at him- 

The sea breeze blew her curly hair, and the hem of her gown flew. Her plain face was clean and charming. She was like a playful deer, pure and beautiful. 

Ellison’s heart softened when he saw this. 

Ill have William prepare a barbeque tomorrow.” Ellison could not bear to reject her request. 

After all, she seemed intimate with him on the surface, but the wall in her heart was probably higher than the Berlin Wall.

“Thank you, Mr. Grant,” Joycelyn lifted the hem of her skirt and curtsied, responding gracefully. 

Ellison glanced at her charming smile and said in a low voice, “You call me Mr. Grant all the time. You only ever call me Darling when you need my help.” 

After saying that, he snorted coldly. 

Joycelyn sat down. She smiled and said nothing else at Ellison’s conclusion. 

After all, what he said was true. 

Nothing would happen to her if she called him Darling, but it gave her the ick. 

He seemed to like hearing her call him Darling though. 

He was so good to her. She should also make him happy by calling him Darling. 

Joycelyn pursed her lips and mentally prepared herself. When Elison sat down next to her, she scooted over and moved as if to give him a wine glass. She said in a sweet voice, “Darling- Your wine.” 

Ellison paused and turned to look at her. 

His handsome face was well–defined, and a deep affection was laced into his facial features, making Joycelyn’s heart race. Joycelyn could not resist his gaze. She quickly turned her head and mumbled, “You don’t like to hear me call you that.” 

“Who says 

that? You’re the one who doesn’t like to call me that,” Ellison said in a low and hoarse voice, the depths of his calm eyes full of emotion. 

Listening to his words, Joycelyn’s mind buzzed. She chose to change the topic by saying, “Let’s eat, let’s eat.” 

Why did he say that? 

It was clearly just a form of address, but why did it sound so indecent coming from–him? 

“I heard that once I have a husband, I’ll no longer have to peel my own prawns, Jocelyn smiled. The long dining table was filled with her favorite seafood dishes, all exquisite and sumptuous. 

Joycelyn noticed that only one plate of prawns had not been shelled.
