She thought Ellison was probably busy. 

Joycelyn turned off her screen, put her phone in her pocket, and headed to the coffee room to get some water.

Rocky stuck out his tongue, his big round eyes looking at her as if he understood, his tail wagging like a little fan. 

Joycelyn tiptoed upstairs, passing the master bedroom. Seeing no light under the door, she knew he was already asleep. 

With a heart full of joy, she carefully opened the guest room door, went in, and gently closed it behind her. 

In the quiet space, even the slightest sound was clearly audible. 

Ellison, lying in the master bedroom, wasn’t asleep. Hearing the sound, his dark eyes suddenly shifted, marrowing looked towards the door.

He stretched out his long arm and pulled the little woman lying on her side into his arms. 

He had trouble sleeping and had gotten used to having her beside him
