Chapter 337
+25 Bonus
Aurora opened a browser and began searching for more information on LC’s internal affairs.
Only then did she find out that Randy was currently competing with John for the position of general manager at LC Group.
Because of this, the two men didn’t get along at all within the company.
In fact, management often avoided putting them in the same room-
they could barely be controlled.
They didn’t just argue, sometimes, they would even come to blows over the most trivial matters.
Aurora found it ridiculous just thinking about it.
She had met John before and never imagined he’d be such a character in the company.
If she wanted to break this deadlock, she would have to win Randy over.
Fortunately, the two men were bitter rivals.
Pulling Randy to her side would be the perfect way to slap John in the face.
Aurora lifted her chin slightly. She had figured things out.
Since future cooperation was no longer possible, why should she care about sparing his dignity? After all, hadn’t he already disregarded hers?
A cold gleam flashed in her eyes.
She was now looking forward to tomorrow’s meeting.
She really wanted to see what kind of face John would pull when that moment came.
The next afternoon.
Aurora arrived at the agreed location with her assistant.
The moment she saw Randy, she already found him far more agreeable than John.
The two couldn’t have looked more different.
One seemed shrewd, while the other was gentle and kind, speaking in a calm and soothing tone.
It was precisely because of this that Aurora found Randy so likable.
Yes, he was the gentle and soft–spoken type.
So, when Aurora stepped in and saw Randy, she was genuinely pleased.
Working with someone like him meant she wouldn’t have to go through the same nonsense she had with John.
After a brief handshake, the two of them took their seats. Their assistants remained standing nearby.
Aurora smiled warmly and gestured, “Please, have a seat. No need to be so formal–standing is tiring.” Randy’s assistant looked surprised by the offer. “I… I can sit too?”
Aurora gave a gentle nod. “Of course. We’re just having a meal together, nothing unusual about that.” Before she could say anything more, lan had already plopped down and was ready to start eating,
Aurora gave him a quick scolding. “No one else has sat down yet. How could you just take a seat like that?” Looking sheepish, Jan scratched his head. “Right… I’ve just gotten used to it, I guess. I did it out of habit. My bad.” Seeing this, Randy’s assistant was taken aback.
He hadn’t expected Aurora to be so different from what the rumors said.
Randy, catching the shift in mood, nodded toward his assistant, signaling him to sit down as well.
Aurora smiled slightly. “Mr. Lowe, you already know why I came today. I want to work with you.”
“And?”

Aurora curved her lips into a smile. “Most importantly, I know you’re competing with John for the general manager role at your company. A partnership with Walton Corporation is a guaranteed win on your side.”
Randy nodded. “That’s true. But the problem is, I’m not the one officially in charge of this project. If I go behind John’s back, I’m worried the higher–ups might come down hard on me.”
