Old Mr. Sharp couldn’t help wondering if this young man was the honorable guest mentioned. He was totally stunned, not knowing what to do. He was completely shocked by the news as it went far beyond his expectation.
Rowen sneered, “He is exactly Mr. Lee. Do I have to confirm it again?”
Old Mr. Sharp wiped off the cold sweat on his face, panic. He hurried to say to Maximilian, “Mr. Lee, I am so sorry. I didn’t expect that.”
Maximilian just smiled and remained silent as if he were looking at a fool.
“Well, there is no need to be so formal. I think I should be the one who addresses you as Mr.”
Hearing that, Old Mr. Sharp hurried to waved his hand, “Well, Mr. Lee, you know. I was just joking.”
When seeing the sudden change, everyone present was all stunned. If they hadn’t just seen what happened with their own eyes, they could never believe that.
Old Mr. Sharp wiped off his sweat out of panic, afraid that Maximilian would retaliate against him for being offended.
Of course, Maximilian could tell what he was worried about. But he was not a narrow-minded one. So he didn’t get mad because of that.
“Don’t worry, Old Mr. Sharp, I am not a vengeful type. Just forget about it.” Maximilian smiled.
Hearing that, Old Mr. Sharp breathed a sigh of relief. Luckily, Maximilian didn’t intend to retaliate. Otherwise, it would be a great danger.
Maximilian simply yawned and ignored him.
Old Mr. Sharp was now so grateful to him for his tolerance. He felt like falling deep to the hell and then being lifted back to the heaven again. He almost got a heart attack because of such a sudden change.
Rowen saluted Maximilian and said, “Mr. Lee, I have work to do. I am afraid I need to leave now.”
Maximilian nodded. He didn’t ask him to stay. He then gave Rowen a cigarette for thank.
After all, he knew that it was Connor who made him here. He was also satisfied with what Connor did for him. He actually sent his men here just to inform Old Mr. Sharp of his arrival.
After Rowen left, Old Mr. Sharp gestured towards Maximilian with great respect to beckon him in.
As they arrived at the villa, Old Mr. Sharp spared Maximilian the seat of honor in the middle. Then he asked politely as he just heard of ‘key’ mentioned by him, “Mr. Lee, what kind of key do you want?”
Then Maximilian replied, “The key I want is special. If you tell me that you don’t have it, you shall be ready to take the consequence.”
Old Mr. Sharp couldn’t help giving a shiver. He wiped off his cold sweat again. Not until then did he asked scrupulously, “Mr. Lee, I can offer everything you ask for as long as I do keep it here.”
Now he had made up his mind that he needed to try all means to fawn on Maximilian. After all, it would be quite valuable if he could put in a good word for him while talking to Connor.
While looking at the key, Harley also looked hesitated.
“Sorry, I am not sure either.” Harley smiled awkwardly.
Of course, if he could recognize the real Secret Key, he would not have tried hard to steal a fake one last time.
Maximilian frowned again. No matter if it was the real one, he still chose to take it. He was wondering perhaps there would be one day when he needed it. After all, it would be better than nothing.
“But why does the key look so broken?” Maximilian asked out of curiosity.
He couldn’t believe that the Secret Key was actually such a broken one. So he deemed that there must be something wrong.
Then Old Mr. Sharp replied honestly, “Mr. Lee, I do confess the truth. This is indeed the Secret Key in Dragon Sect. As for the story and reason behind its broken appearance, I have no idea.”
Maximilian didn’t know what to do. At the beginning, he thought that he might be able to extract some useful information from Old Mr. Sharp. However, it seemed that he was still lying.
Maximilian shook his head out of disappointment, looking impatient when facing Old Mr. Sharp.
Of course, Old Mr. Sharp also noticed his impatient feelings. He rubbed against his forehead, not knowing what to do next.
