Xander’s speech made Cody even more anxious.

“I don’t understand what you mean.”

Cody changed his facial expressions as he listened to Xander.

That cage deprived us of our dignity and right to live. Even though Mr. Kent died for me, I guessed that was the reason why you started to pay attention to my daughter Nicole?

“You thought it was me who died. Because of the special blood of the Kent family, you kept an eye on my daughter. But due to Samuel, you couldn’t make it too obvious. Hearing his words, Cody was shocked.

“Did you guess that or do you have any proof?”

“I don’t have any evidence and I don’t plan to do anything to you. For now, I just want my family to live a safe life. So, Mr. Shaffer, don’t push me. I just want my grandson to be safe.”

Cody was stunned.

He frowned and thought for a while.

Xander had known so much that Cody started to be afraid!

He could assume what had happened twenty years ago. But he had no proof. But who could guarantee that he wouldn’t find any in the future?”

“Xander, you should know that you are in my house. I’m the boss here!”

“So what? Do I look like a coward?”

Xander unbuttoned his coat and there was a bomb attached to his chest.

“Holy crap!”

Cody tumbled and fell to the ground. He was sweating.

“Xander, are you mad?”

“I want my grandson back! Otherwise, we can die together!”

Xander didn’t look like he was joking.

His eyes were red and he looked like a maniac.

Cody’s heart was pounding.

He mustn’t die!

Right now he had got money and fame. He had a good life ahead of him and he really didn’t wanna die.

“Fine! I’ll do whatever you want. Put the bomb away!”

“I wanna see my grandson first!”

“Asshole!”

Cody was caught off guard and fell to the ground. Every part of his body was aching.

“Xander, how dare you! Do it again and I’ll kill your grandson right now!”

“If you lay a finger on him, I’ll make your whole family pay for it!”

Xander punched him in Cody’s face.

“Oh!”

Cody felt his mouth was aching and two of his teeth fell off. He was picked up by Xander before he could spit the blood. His feet were off the ground.

“No, no, no! Mr. Don! My father is Chad Shaffer! Mr. Hill trusts him the most! If you kill me, your daughter and your son-in-law will get in big trouble! And your grandson Lucas will never be able to have a military career anymore!”

Xander felt his chest was about to explode but what Chad said got him thinking. He had to consider Lucas’ future.

He tossed Cody’s body and kicked the person who held Eaton. He reached out and held Eaton in his arms.

“Cody, if anything happens to my grandson, I’ll kill the whole Shaffer family!”

After that, Xander ran out of the room. He was at the door before Cody realized.

Cody was moaning out of pain and didn’t have the energy to chase Xander. He glared at him and yelled.

“Find me a hitman who can kill this freak!”
