Don't Try to Escape, My Wife! novel Chapter 1603

“I’m gonna kill him!”

Olivia turned around but Nicole grabbed her arm. And Davon began to smile.

“You can’t. He and I both studied under the same master.”

Nicole and Olivia were shocked.

“So you know each other?”

“Yes. He is not an enemy. But he is kind of cynical. We studied different fields under the same masters. He excelled at poison-making so he always wanted to challenge my capability of detoxifying. But this time, it’s more than just a letter of challenge.”

Davon frowned a little.

“What do you mean?”

Nicole was intrigued. She pulled Olivia to sit down with her so they could hear the whole story.

Davon whispered, “Tony is from the Country F. The Thompson family is one of the four officials of the Cabinet. But I heard that the Thompson family is in trouble now, which is probably why he is looking for me. And Olivia might be the referrer. I think Tony did some research on Olivia and might even know about what happened with Jacob before he approached her.

Olivia was a little depressed.

So she had been manipulated?

What the hell?

“So will you meet him?”

“Yep. After all, he’s kind of like a little brother to me. I think he meant well and he might have his people produce the cure for Olivia.

His words comforted Olivia a little bit.

“He’s not too bad.”

“Neither are you.”

Olivia paused as Davon smiled.

“What? I’m not bad at this? If I’m good with relationships, I wouldn’t end up like this.”

“Olivia.”

Nicole wanted to say something to comfort Olivia. But then Davon said, “I shouldn’t comment on your marriage because I’m just an outsider. But since you treat Nicole and I as your family, can I say a few things?”

Olivia and Nicole froze. They didn’t expect him to care about other people’s business.

Nicole was sort of upset, “Davon, Jacob is out of the line. You’re not gonna take his side, are you?”

Davon took a look at Nicole and sighed, “Nicole, you spoke too soon on this matter.”

“I spoke too soon? It was Jacob who did Olivia wrong! If you’re gonna be on his side, then don’t say another word.

Nicole wanted to slam the door and leave but Olivia stopped her.

Olivia couldn’t breathe.

Meanwhile, Nicole was stunned after hearing what Davon said.

She thought about Olivia’s personality.

If she really didn’t love him, she would cut to the chase and get divorced. She didn’t have to do so much.

So was she wrong about this?

Olivia didn’t want a divorce?

Nicole realized she might do something wrong though she actually meant well.

When she first heard what Jacob had done to Olivia, she was on her side and forced Samuel to be against Jacob. From her perspective, Jacob was the villain.

It was undeniable that she didn’t think of what Jacob used to sacrifice. She only saw that Olivia was in pain and she was a victim. But now she thought it over, who could make Olivia a victim if she was not willing to?

If she didn’t accept that, she might gut that woman with a kitchen knife from the beginning.

So it was she who crossed the line.

Nicole felt terrible. When she saw the look on Olivia’s face, she knew Davon was right.

Olivia couldn’t stand what Jacob did and still didn’t want to divorce. It seemed like that she did all these things to get divorced but she was actually fixing the marriage.
