Don't Try to Escape, My Wife! novel Chapter 1555

Having realized it was impossible for him to see Molly again, Dylan felt extremely regretful but it was too late now.

“Mr. Green, if you’re gonna catch Nick tonight, I want to take part in this operation. After all, our family was destroyed because of him eight years ago. I want to know what he looks like.”

“Fine.”

Samuel didn’t refuse his request.

After getting the answer he wanted, Dylan returned to his room. Then, Morgan followed Samuel and Nicole to the hall.

“How did it go? Can you tell how long he can last?”

“I can’t. But now he seems to be a little too weak.”

Nicole paused for a while and asked, “Can he last till the night?”

“I think he can.”

Samuel nodded and asked Morgan to get prepared.

Nicole frowned, “There are still some unfinished businesses. What’s the relationship between Jeffrey and Nick? Did Jeffrey plot against Molly only to become the master of their family? If we don’t clear things out, Morty…”

“No need to hurry. As long as we catch Nick, everything might be clearer. After all, Aiden is just a stooge. He doesn’t know much about the essential intelligence. I think Nick might be our breakthrough.”

“How come?”

Nicole was confused and didn’t know what he meant.

Samuel patted her head and smiled, “Do you think Nick and Martin happened to share the same family name?”

“Huh?”

Seeing that Nicole was still puzzled, he continued, “I think Nick might be the son or nephew of Martin.”

Nicole’s eyes were wide open and she finally thought straight.

This might be possible.

“So, by catching Nick, we might be able to find Martin, right? Then, we’ll find out if he is my aunt’s father or not. If our guess is right, Tim is actually his grandchild. Can he really do that to his own grandson?”

Samuel squinted his eyes and said, “Some people are born to be cruel. If he doesn’t even care for his own daughter, how can he care about his grandson?”

His word surprised Nicole.

She began thinking fast.

If it was like what he said, then Tim might be in danger. Unless something happened to Martin’s son or grandson, he would never let Tim go.

But that seemed to be a little unpractical.

Samuel didn’t know what she was thinking about but he was a bit worried about her.

“Rest assured. I’ll try my best to rescue Tim and Evelyn. Don’t be worried. They just want the ship routes of the Mason family, so right now they won’t do anything too harsh to Evelyn and Tim. They might just get slightly injured.”

Nicole wasn’t so optimistic like Samuel.

Did they have to wait until they caught Nick at night?

“Yeah.”

Nicole couldn’t refuse in front of those doe eyes.

They sat down and logged in the game.

Maybe it was because Nicole wanted to escape from the reality, her whole mind was on the game, which actually helped her relieve.

Before they knew it, they had played three rounds and it had been one hour. Nicole didn’t know Samuel went out until the servant went up to ask them to have dinner.

Aiden and Dylan also went with him.

Nicole froze for a while and realized Samuel ditched her and went himself.

When things like this happened in the past, she would get mad at him, feeling that Samuel was being disrespectful to her. But after what they had been through, she knew it was a way he showed his affection for her. Also, Lucas was here and needed to be looked after.

Nicole was confident that they could always rely on Samuel.

She nodded and didn’t say anything else. She went downstairs with Lucas.

The dishes were delicate and looked delicious. But Nicole put down the fork and asked the servant in front of her, “Who are you? When did you enter the mansion?”

The servant lowered her head and Nicole couldn’t see her face clearly. She looked like a normal middle-aged woman and nothing else. But Nicole still noticed something different.

And at this moment, the bodyguards Samuel left here didn’t come. Nicole knew that she couldn’t count on them. Perhaps, the second Samuel left the mansion, someone had been watching them.

The wolf had a winning game when the shepherds quarreled. But it wasn’t clear she and Lucas were the wolves or the shepherds yet.
