“Let’s go!”
Now the first thing to do was to find Tim and Evelyn.
Even though Lucas didn’t know what was going on, he sat straight when he heard Tim’s name and turned to Nicole.
Nicole looked quite worried and wanted to be there for them right away.
Lucas suddenly felt a little guilty.
Didn’t his parents come here for sight seeing? Why was Tim involved? Did something bad happened to him?
He was sad at the thought of his mom worrying about him back then.
Maybe it was not a big deal to just make an apology to Yasmeen. He was a big boy now and it would make his mom feel better.
Then Lucas pulled out his phone and called Yasmeen, only to find out she had blocked his number. She must feel terrible at his words. Now that he was calling, Yasmeen put him on the blacklist with no second thought.
Lucas felt humiliated.
He knew he would never get along with Yasmeen. Such a spoiled princess!
Nicole noticed he was in a mood and asked, “What’s wrong?”
“Yasmeen blocked me. I’ll apologize to her later.”
Hearing that, Nicole laughed, “Good boy. Don’t treat Yasmeen like that ever again, okay?”
“I know.”
Lucas lowered his head. He nodded and didn’t say anything else. He wanted to ask what happened with Tim but he kept his mouth shut because of the tension in the air.
They hurriedly drove back to the mansion.
Lucas froze when he saw Morgan and a strange man standing in front of him.
Things must have gotten serious since Morgan was here.
“Mom, dad, I’ll be in my room.”
“Okay.”
Samuel was too busy to attend to Lucas and Nicole also wanted to know where Tim was right now. So they had to ask Lucas to stay in his room.
After they sent Lucas back in his room, Nicole and Samuel went down to the basement.
Aiden looked much better after a night’s rest. He was stunned a little when he saw Samuel and Nicole. She could tell that he knew who they were from the look of his eyes.
“Where’s my cousin?” She asked straight forward.
Aiden wanted to buy himself more time until Samuel called on Morgan and said coldly, “You remember how painful it was last night, right? I can get the bug out of your body and I can also plant it back in. But this time I won’t just put some harmless bugs in you and you can imagine what it will be like.”
Aiden’s face suddenly went pale.
“No, don’t do that to me… I’ll tell you everything. But you must promise to keep me safe. If tell you everything I know, you must protect me.”
His choice of words kind of surprised Nicole and Samuel.
“You must? Who do you think you are?”
Samuel sneered and approached him.
Aiden knew he pushed his luck by say those things. He trembled as he started to remember how cruel and brutal Samuel could be.
Samuel grabbed her arm.
He stared at Aiden and continued, “Is Evelyn there?”
“No. We would never have a couple locked together. They would devise a scheme and run away cuz a couple can easily tell what each other is thinking about.”
By then, Aiden was telling everything he knew.
Nicole finally understood why Samuel kept her there.
Not only did they need to save Tim, they also needed to know where Evelyn was. And now they must know more from Aiden. They didn’t know whether there were more poisonous bugs in Aiden’s body or not so they had to get more information from him as soon as possible.
Having figured out that, Nicole sat down.
Aiden was astonished.
“You’re not going?”
“We need more info.”
Samuel sat down as well and said in a cold tone, “When did you start to target at the Mason family? Did the Bell family vanish because of you?”
Thinking of Fernanda, Samuel couldn’t help connecting Aiden with what happened to Dylan.
Obviously, Aiden was stunned how straight forward Samuel was. He was just thinking about how to say it subtly and then Samuel said, “Don’t lie to me. Or I will show you how painful the bugs can make you feel. You know, there are a lot of people who can plant bugs. If you really did some research about me, then you should know I’m the master of the Harper Town and my mother is Alice Harper.”
He started to tremble again at his words. It seemed like he remembered something and he knew he had to tell them the truth.
“I did have something to do with what happened to the Bell family.”
The second he finished his sentence, his whole body started to twist and he was foaming at the mouth, which looked terrifying.

The book is slow....too many words are wasted to explain...need a better translator.......
God I want to read the book but it's freaking annoying, Samuel Green, Nicole Bush, Lucas Bush, Jacob Brown in every line.....I hope this author grows...the book would have been okay but it's affecting my mood...
Does the author have write the full names of the characters all the time...it's annoying...we are reading the book, we know their surnames already.......
What is it with Chinese authors. The characters are slow, he finally opened his mouth, it took him so long just to say two words...the house keeper would have put the person out before he even spoke....is this really how people are over there..the characters are always lost in thought, they might as well live in their heads.....
