As Margot began to delve into the paperwork, my mind raced with conflicting thoughts and irritation with her comments about

Tessa.

Tessa’s past suddenly weighed down heavily on me, with the instant realisation that she hadn’t been treated fairly here Margo herself it seems!

Judging by Margo’s lack of care for the girls, the whole comment about Tessa could simply have been exaggerated to the point of bitterness – jealousy even?

I couldn’t shake the feeling that there was more to Tessa’s story than what met the eye her here. The way she had looked at me, the vulnerability held in her eyes, it all spoke volumes alone on her time here.

“Ok so this is a big decision to make Alpha…” Margo begins, drawing out Tessa’s file as I cringe at her uneasy tone.

“Just give me it!” I snap, snatching the papers from her hand swiftly before reaching to grab a nearby pen to sign the document off.

She looks alarmed, leaning back in her chair to give me a little more space as her eyes grow wide from watching my signature dance across each and every dotted line to officially claim Tessa as my own

It’s done.

There’s no going back now.

“O–Ok… well uh… that’s that finalised – congratulations.” She blunders, as Seth rolls his eyes without holding back – picking up on the falseness of her words.

I hate her even more after today…

“Now what was the other matter you wanted to discuss? About Erin’s situation?” Margo clears her throat, as I straighten up and watch her stand to photocopy my signed papers in the corner as she listens intently.

“Leo, the male from my pack has been arrested for mistreatment and abuse, therefore Erin had to fulfill the remainder of her trial period in my home under my supervision.” I explain briefly, catching her up with what had happened as quickly as I could.

The machine beeps and files out each paper – before she gathers them up and staples them for me. She picks up a large brown envelope and places the papers inside – handing me them awkwardly before sitting back down in her chair.

“Oh, I see! well that’s no problem, we will just update her details on our system and she will be moved on to participate in the next judgement day,” Margo Felicity shrugs off, unbothered with again a lack of care for what had happened to Erin – not even bothering to find out any more details on the incident.

“That’s not all.” I cut in, as she blinks a few times and purses her lips impatiently.

“What else can I help you with?” She questions, evidently growing unbothered as I feel my temper begin to boil once again.

“I’m sorry, but are we bothering you here?! You seem to be having some trouble doing the basics of your FUCKING JOB!” I yell loudly, as she instantly shakes her head and opens her mouth.

She realises she has overstepped her boundaries and resorts to bowing her head…

I’ve had it with her!

Chapter 90

“LOWER!” I roar, standing from my position as my chair goes flying backwards – causing the woman to shoot up to her feet.

“I… I am so sorry Alpha! I did not mean to come across as uninterested in what you have to say!” She blunders, shuffling from foot to foot before me as I refrain from choking her out completely.
