Chapter 734
Jennifer let Teresa and Evelyn into the house.
“Are you home alone?” Teresa asked.
“Donald’s working the night shift. How come she’s back too?” Jennifer said, pointing at Evelyn.
“Her?” Teresa cut straight to the point, not bothering to sugarcoat it. “Jennifer, have you known all along that you’re not her real daughter? Is that why you’ve always been so cold to Mom?”
Jennifer frowned, her face darkening. “What nonsense are you spouting?”
“See for yourself,” Teresa said, pulling out the DNA test Miriam had given her and handing it over.
Jennifer opened the envelope and stared at the results. The report clearly stated she and Evelyn weren’t mother and daughter. She froze, completely thrown off. “What is this? Who forged this report?”
“Miriam used your hair and Mom’s for the test. She did it twice–two DNA tests. Jennifer, you’re not Mom’s daughter,” Teresa said.
“That’s impossible,” Jennifer said, her voice trembling as she gripped the report tightly in her hands.
“Mom’s in Gorthany, while I’m in Nareigh–so how did Miriam even manage to do the DNA test? Did she really fly all the way there just for this?” Jennifer pressed, her disbelief clear.
Teresa nodded, her eyes fixed on Jennifer. “Yes, she flew over. Why would I lie to you? It’s late–I picked Mom up from the airport and came straight here. Why would I go to all this trouble just to lie to you? I’m not

Jennifer suddenly snapped her head toward Evelyn, her voice trembling with anger. “So if I’m not your daughter, then who am I? Tell me!”
“Hannah, calm down. I also want to know who you really are. Right now, I can’t even be sure if the test results are a mistake,” Evelyn said, nearly collapsing if Teresa wasn’t keeping her steady.
“It’s definitely a mistake,” Jennifer said, completely unfazed.
Teresa tried to catch any hint of a lie on Jennifer’s face, hoping to expose her. But Jennifer was as calm as ever. All Teresa could see in her eyes was pure disbelief and that unshakable confidence.
“I’m Hannah. I’m the same Hannah who fell off that cliff as a kid and climbed her way back up. Miriam just wants to mess things up between us, so she faked this report on purpose,” Jennifer insisted.
“Miriam’s not like that,” Teresa/said firmly. “I’ve known her for over ten years–I trust her character.”
“So you trust Miriam, but you don’t trust me, your own sister? If I’m not really your sister, then who am]

supposed to be?
“Or are you just looking for an excuse to cut me off, so your ex–husband can go after me and sue me however he wants?” Jennifer shot back.
Teresa was speechless as Jennifer always managed to twist things around. She took a deep breath and calmly explained, “Jonathan already knows I’m pregnant.
