Five minutes later, the car pulled into the Forlisle Rose Estates.

As soon as Jonathan stopped the car inside and the gate closed behind them, he unfastened his seatbelt and stared at Teresa.

The next second, his lips crashed down on hers. He pinned Teresa’s wrists above her head, and his towering frame pressed down over her. It was a cathartic release tinged with vengeance.

Teresa curled up, trying to kick Jonathan away with her knees, but it was no use. In the car, Jonathan got what he wanted. But realizing there was no protection, he forced himself to stop before things went all the way.

He carried her into his bedroom. Teresa hurled insults at him, but soon ran out of steam and just flopped face down onto the bed.

Jonathan loosened his tie while pressing kisses to her fragrant neck. In the car earlier, Teresa avoided facing him because the dimness had hidden everything, but with lights on now, she dreaded that Jonathan would discover her secret if his hands wandered to her belly.

Therefore, she remained face–down until a sharp pain shot through her back, forcing a gasp from her lips.

Jonathan said, “If I’d had condoms at home, I’d have worn you out tonight.”

Teresa said, “Go ahead and finish me off now.”

Jonathan said, “Even if you’re pregnant with my baby, you won’t let me be a dad. Why should I keep making a fool of myself?”

When Teresa finally came to her senses, she realized it was already the next morning.

Jonathan had promised not to “finish her off“, but he still left her feeling half–dead.

Teresa remembered Jonathan saying in the dead of the night that he would drive out to buy condoms. Teresa felt he had lost his mind. But to her shock, he did that and even locked the gate.

When Teresa saw Jonathan come back carrying a whole bag of condoms, she really panicked.

She was truly unwell, but this time, Jonathan utterly disregarded her desperate pleas.

By the time Teresa woke up, Jonathan was already fully dressed. He said, “I’m taking you to the hospital.”

“What for?” Teresa instantly snapped awake.

Jonathan bent down and braced his elbow beside her. He said, “Weren’t you clutching your stomach and complaining about the pain? I’m taking you to get checked out.”

Teresa thought to herself, ‘It wasn’t the pain that made me go pale. It was sheer fright.‘

“I’m fine now,” she said. She rolled over, with her back to Jonathan.

Jonathan stroked her arm, utterly captivated by the smoothness of her skin.

He said, “We should still get you checked out. I heard Cathy had some problems when she went to the gynecologist. You need to be careful, too. Women’s bodies are fragile and more prone to infections.”

Teresa’s heart sank. She didn’t dare go to the gynecology department with Jonathan. She said, “I don’t need a checkup. You’re the one who should go.”

Jonathan frowned. “What?”
