Mark raised his hand to caress her cheek. “Alright, don’t cry. Let’s get you home first. Leave the rest to me now.”

Arianne nodded her head, as she could not control her tears. She was not an emotional person, but she was still moved when Mark said such gentle words to her just now, as she knew what he meant by making it up to her…

Mark left after sending Arianne home and did not arrive at Tremont Estate until late at night.

In the past, he would have a sudden sense of anticipation whenever he arrived home because there were people that he missed waiting for him there. But now, whenever he arrived home, he almost could not bring himself to enter because the person that he dearly missed was not there.
