Bella frowned. She understood that Carla was just playing her part to trick the public by calling her "Mrs. Miller". However, she was upset that time had passed by so quickly.

It was rare for her to have such a good appetite. Since it wasn't time for lunch yet, she decided to visit a high-end dessert shop on the top floor.

The second she sat down on her seat, Carla suddenly whispered, "Mrs. Miller, I think it's best if we just leave…"

Bella was confused but immediately understood when she followed Carla's gaze and spotted the Klein sisters. There was a saying that the people one least wanted to see had a way of showing up uninvited.

Balla didn't feel like changing locations, and spending her limited time avoiding people seemed wasteful. So, she said, "It's fine. We'll stay here."

Carla had no choice but to sit down with her.

After ordering, Bella took out her phone to message Lia, venting about her unfortunate encounter with the Klein sisters.

Lia was probably busy as she did not reply to Bella's messages.

Bella had hoped to ignore the sisters, but they had other ideas. The moment they spotted her, they marched over immediately.

Carla stood up like a protective mother hen, blocking them in their way, prompting a sneer from Yelena.

"What are you doing? Do you think we'll eat her alive while we're all in public? You're just a housekeeper, so why are you acting like a guard dog?"

Carla remained calm and unbothered. Bella, on the other hand, could not hold her anger back. "Yelena, can't you speak like a civilized person?

"You were able to storm into a hospital to attack me, so who's to say that you won't do anything here? Do you have something to say to me?"

Yelena's gaze flickered to Bella's belly. It held a hint of malice. "Don't think you can gloat just because Dominic has publicly acknowledged you as his wife. Where's your wedding ring?

Bella could remain calm and retort to most accusations, but she could not defend herself when she heard Yelena's words.

When Bella fell silent, Carla stepped in and retorted, "Who is more pathetic here is clear. You were once a true socialite, and now you're just pretending that you're still one by sleeping around with men.

"What's the point of flaunting your power here? You should be worrying about providing for yourselves so you can keep coming to places like this for dessert and photoshoots in the future."

Just then, Bella's phone, which had been placed on the table, lit up with a new message. Out of everyone else who could have replied to her, it was a reply from Lia.

Her message wrote, "Those Klein sisters are nothing but trash. You must be super unlucky to have to run into them!"

Yelena had always had a short temper. When she saw the message, she immediately directed her anger at Carla.

She raised her hand to slap Carla, unaware that the latter was a former kickboxing champion. Hence, the outcome was predictable.
