Chapter 707 Peeping Tom 

“What do you mean by ‘barely considered‘? I was a war reporter, all right?” Ninette grumbled discontentedly, then continued, “All I’ve ever dealt with before were humans, but what you’re talking about is a ghost. Isn’t it perfectly normal for me to be scared?” 

“When did I ever say there was a ghost?” Yelena rolled her eyes. 

“You said something was off at home. Isn’t that just another way of saying it’s haunted?” 

“Ninette, it’s clear that you’ve concocted this all in your head, yet you dare to slander me. Are you perhaps feeling guilty? Are you trying to monopolize Rys all for yourself? Speak up!” 

Emrys was rendered speechless. 

Seeing that the two of them were about to start arguing, Emrys. said with a bit of a headache, “All right, all right. Lena, what did you mean when you said something was off just now?” 

“Oh, I almost forgot about the main issue. This is all because of Ninette’s interruption.” 

“Nonsense. When did I ever interrupt? It was clearly you who scared me first. What’s wrong with admitting I was scared? I was genuinely frightened!” As Ninette spoke, she tightened her embrace around Emrys, her legs coiling around his waist. 

Her posture was becoming increasingly inappropriate.

“I can’t be bothered to argue with you.” Yelena glared at Ninette, then turned to Emrys and said, “Rys, during the time you were not at home, I constantly felt as if someone was watching us from outside.” 

“Someone was watching you from outside.” When Emrys saw that Yelena’s expression was not one of jest, his face immediately darkened. This won’t do. A few stunning ladies are living in this mansion. Although they have all become cultivators under my guidance, encountering a peeping tom is definitely not a good thing. For instance, how could items like their undergarments drying on the balcony be seen by other men? Absolutely not!

“You’re quite something, Ninette. Now that Caylie is not at home, you’ve started to argue with me again, haven’t you? Do you believe I’ll use a large band–aid to seal your mouth?”

grievance. 

Immediately, Yelena was filled with rage. She yelled out, “Ninette! Don’t think that just because you’re holding onto Rys, I wouldn’t dare to do anything to you. If you have the guts, come down and face me one–on–one!” 

“One–on–one it is, then. Do you think I’m afraid of you?” With a swift motion, Ninette leaped off from Emrys, charging toward Yelena with an overwhelming momentum. 

As they were both in the Energy Cultivation Stage, both weren’t afraid of the other. 

Emrys was truly at a loss for words, but he couldn’t be bothered to interfere further. Instead, he turned his gaze toward Cordelia, who was sitting elegantly on the couch. Her figure was slender. Her long legs, delicate and shapely, were tightly crossed together. She maintained an air of grace. 

She had already returned to her usual state. 

The reason Emrys looked at her was quite simple. Among all the sisters, Cordelia’s sixth sense was the strongest. 

If there truly had been someone peeping around the mansion. those past few days, and Yelena had been able to detect it, Cordelia would have undoubtedly been even more aware. 

Naturally, Cordelia understood Emrys‘ intentions, but she just shook her head indifferently.
