Theodore remained silent, so Sydney went on, "Theo, I've told you to feel free to tell me anything that's on your mind. Don't keep it to yourself, please?"
"I need some rest. Can you leave me?"
He didn't want to say anything at all right now.
Sydney was very worried he would do something foolish again, so she didn't dare to leave.
"Theo, if you want to contact Rose, I can help you with that."
She felt terrible about the entire situation. Theodore was probably in this state right now because he missed Rosalie too much.
Her original intent had been for Theodore to stop getting involved with Rosalie, since it would clearly go nowhere and both of them would just be in pain.
Theodore smirked. "Mom, you didn't let us see each other before. Now, you've changed your mind. Are you scared that I'll die?"
Theodore's sarcasm made Sydney feel awful. "Theo, can you please not say that? Let's talk things through, okay?"
"What do you want to talk about?"
Sydney was stunned at Theodore's words. She suddenly didn't know where to start.
After a long time, she finally said, "What must I do to make you hang in there? Tell me, I'll do anything for you."
"Leave," Theodore said coldly.
Sydney furrowed her brows. "Theo, don't be like this."
"You aren't even willing to leave for my sake. Why talk big in the first place?" Theodore scoffed, disdain written all over his face.
Sydney sighed.
She wanted to say more, but the cold look in Theodore's eyes filled her with so much guilt that she couldn't manage even a word.
She eventually whispered, "Have a good rest," before turning to leave.
After shutting the door behind her, she walked down the corridor and saw Wesley standing right there. Upon seeing Sydney leave the ward, he hurriedly approached her and asked, "Syd, how is he?"
"Why did you upset your mom? She genuinely cares for you, and was very anxious when she found out something happened to you."
Theodore remained silent. He had had enough of people lecturing him. His ears were getting sore, and he was getting irritated by it. Sooner or later, he would turn numb to all their nagging.
Despite Theodore's silence, Wesley went on, "I know you're acting like this because of Rose, but you should understand that you two are already divorced. Although you've lost her, there are still many people who care about you. Your mom, your grandma and I, aren't we your family too? Is Rosalie Young the only person in your life?"
Theodore felt his head pounding. Wesley's words grated on his nerves, and frustrated him even more.
Why did everyone say such useless things? If their words were effective, why would he need to resort to drinking so much?
What's more, they didn't even understand these things themselves. What right did they have to point fingers at him?
"Theo, don't give us the silent treatment. We're father and son."
Seeing his son in this state, Wesley was very upset.
"When you were out fooling with other women back then, did you consider us as father and son?" Theodore suddenly asked.

The readers' comments on the novel: Chasing My Pregnant Wife (Rosalie and Theodore)
Why aren't u updating......
Unrealistic. What a comedy. If Sebastian and Rosalie are cousins, their families must have already prevented them to be together abroad. Isn't it bizarre that nobody is doing something to let them know of their family relationship? And pls stop putting Aurora in a high pedestal. Your readers want Rosalie to be genuinely happy, free of stupid misunderstanding. Thank you....
Another garbled story with lots of gibberish. Absolute rubbish. I got to chapter 26 and can't anymore...
Too many people involve.. sigh~ this is like the most angst novel i've read.....
I just wish one thing...that the writer will not bring too many unnecessary and unrealistic twists, too many misunderstanding, miscommunication that gives the reader the hint not to continue with the novel. In the long run, We lost our interest in this kind of unending plot....
Thanks for the update !...
