Broken Memories, Intertwined Hearts novel Chapter 519

Phoebe chuckled and shook her head. "Emma, I'm truly dumbfounded by you. You give up too easily. Ethan only said one thing and you waved the white flag. You're making us look bad."

Emma bit her lip gently. "Well, I was too nervous. I thought I had nothing to lose, but Ethan still caught me off guard."

Ashley shook her head. "Ethan's too crafty. Who else would be so sneaky? Let's get going. We still have one more hurdle for them to overcome."

Ines thought that Ethan and the others would have to struggle a bit before they could break in. Hearing the footsteps, she thought the second line of defense had been breached., and the bridesmaids were moving to the bedroom. To her surprise, Ethan was the one who came in, and she was momentarily stunned by his handsome features.

The two babies were already excitedly calling out, "Daddy."

Ethan showed a faint smile, and glanced at them. "Ivy, Ollie, be good today. Daddy won't have much time to keep an eye on you."

After saying this, he turned his gaze towards Ines. His eyes were filled with love, and his face was adorned with a tender affection that wouldn't go away. "Izzy, I'm here."

Ines responded quietly, "Okay."

"Alright, let's not delay. They say the earlier the wedding party starts, the better. Let's get going," Rita suggested.

Ethan was about to pick up Ines to leave when she pointed to her feet. Looking down, Ethan noticed that she was wearing slippers. "Where are your shoes?" The two bridesmaids hurried over. Phoebe chuckled, "Ethan, this is the final test. Izzy's shoes are hidden somewhere in this room. You have to find them and kneel to help her put them on. It symbolizes that you'll be with her for life, always putting her before yourself. Of course, the groomsmen can help. You don't have to ask the bride, because she doesn't know where they are either. We've kept her in the dark."

Ines looked seriously at Ethan and helplessly shrugged her shoulders. She truly didn't know where they were. They had hidden the shoes while she was getting her makeup done and hadn't been paying attention.

Noel was slightly confused, "Ethan, should we look for them?"

Ethan gave him a look, and Aaron couldn't help but smile, patting Noel on the shoulder. He found his friend's question quite amusing. "Of course we have to. What, are you going to threaten them again? Let's get to it and cut the chatter."

The shoes were found within five minutes by the three men who had prepared themselves for a tough search.

Ines choked, staring at Ethan for a long moment before playfully pounding on his chest. "Ethan, you're so annoying. You know I can't just cry whenever I want, and yet you deliberately made me cry." She loved Ethan's sweet words, which always felt like an appetizer before a meal, never making her feel sick.

Ethan kissed her hands, saying seriously, "Baby, I didn't do it on purpose."

"I'll forgive you for now."

Their impressive convoy of Jeeps couldn't go unnoticed, attracting the attention of many young people who were enjoying a lazy weekend. Ines felt the envious gazes and her mood lifted even more. This was probably the vanity every woman had, always hoping other women would envy her for having a good husband.

The wedding was held at the Diamond Hotel. Hosting a wedding by the river in the summer was a delight for all the guests. By the time they arrived at the hotel, it wasn't too early. After a short rest, Zander entered. "Izzy, we should get ready to go. The ceremony is about to start."

Zander was rarely seen in such formal attire, and Ines could tell that he was somewhat nervous. She gave him a reassuring hug, and said, "Uncle, don't be nervous. Today you are leading me down the aisle to happiness."

Zander chuckled at Ines' words, feeling his nerves ease slightly. Taking a deep breath, he said, "Alright, I won't be nervous. I have the honor of walking you down the aisle to Ethan."
