Eddy’s expression shifted upon hearing Layla’s request. “What did you say?” 

He was happy to help Caroline and endorse her. Indeed, Caroline had proved that she was capable

get it.” 

She clarified, “Eddy, I don’t want this because of the Collins Group’s position among the top four. I 

want it because I need insurance. Without you, I don’t know how I’m supposed to survive.” 

Eddy frowned even harder, but he could not back down on this.. 

If he helped Layla acquire the Collins Group, the Morrison Corporation would have to deal with the 

potential fallout if the group wasn’t managed well. There was too much risk involved. 

“Eddy, are you really going to leave me to fend for myself?” Layla cried devastatingly. “I just don’t 

want Caroline to bully me after I lose you. I merely want some assurances for myself… Now, only 

having the Collins Group will give me a sense of security.” 

Hearing Layla cry, Eddy felt very frustrated. Suddenly, he looked at Layla. “Do you really want the

“That’s not a problem. In truth, Layla hadn’t expected things to go so smoothly. Furthermore, Eddy was going to be her guarantor himself. There was no chance that she would fail to get her hands on the Collins Group now.

Caroline chuckled. “A livestream, too? You’re making it seem like I’m visiting a zoo. I’ll try to
