Seeing Hazel’s wary expression, Julian and Maverick felt defeated.

Was this really how she saw them–as men who would resort to violence?

Aiden positioned himself protectively in front of Hazel, making a quick phone call. Within a minute, several security guards appeared, twisting Julian and Maverick’s arms behind their backs.

“Don’t worry, Hazel. Everything will be fine.”

Julian struggled toward Hazel, grabbing her hand. “Come with me! Let’s go home!”

“We dropped out of school for you. If you love Harvard, we can study for the exams and come here, but you can’t be with him.”

His voice was glacial, carrying an air of unquestionable authority.

Maverick also tried to break free but was firmly restrained by the guards. His eyes remained fixed on Hazel as though she were his life’s sole purpose.

But she knew better. She didn’t need their twisted version of love.

“Let go. I won’t leave with you. Your decision to drop out has nothing to do with me–that was your choice. I don’t have feelings for you anymore. I haven’t for a long time. Don’t you understand that yet?”

Her blunt rejection completely crushed them.

The disgust in Hazel’s eyes was unmistakable.

Aiden’s ice–blue eyes darkened as he forcibly pried Julian’s fingers away one by one.

The security guards quickly moved in, restraining Julian completely.

“Hazel doesn’t want to go with you. Stop forcing her.”

In full view of Julian and Maverick, Aiden took Hazel’s hand and led her into the restaurant.

“Are you alright?” he asked, his gentle voice soothing her agitation.

She shook her head. “I’m fine now. Thank you your help.”

They sat quietly at the table, enjoying their meal.

Their tastes aligned perfectly–every dish on the table appealed to both of them.

Aiden regularly noted Hazel’s preferences, helping her with portions and refilling her drink.

Seeing her lips curve slightly upward, Aiden responded with his own subtle smile, then glanced discreetly toward a hidden

“Hazel, you have something on your lip. Let me help.”

His slightly rough fingertip brushed against her soft cheek, leaving a lingering sensation.

She froze momentarily, caught off guard.

“All better now,” Aiden said with a light chuckle, returning to his meal.

Meanwhile, in the corner, Julian and Maverick sat with their mouths gagged by tape, their eyes bloodshot with desperation.
