Klay’s POV

I continued digging the soil until I found a casket. My eyes widened after I opened it and saw Emily inside. She’s pale and unconscious. No! No! Kelly will hate me more! She will never forgive me if she loses Emily.

I carried Emily and laid her on the grass. I leaned and listened to her heartbeat. I cursed out loud and started giving her CPR.

“Emily! Emily, open your fcking eyes!” I said gritting my teeth before I gave her air through her mouth. I did it constantly until I heard her coughing and gasping for air.

I looked at her while panting. I swallowed hard and helped her sit. She looked at me while gasping for air and when our gazes met, her eyes immediately watered and she cried so hard as she lifted her arm and caressed my cheek.

“Leo!” She sobbed.

I clenched my jaws. Leo...

I carried her in a bridal way before she could hug me. “I’ll bring you to the hospital.”

I should bring her to the hospital even if people might recognize me as a wanted criminal.

I gently put Emily on the passenger seat and put her seatbelt on. She was still crying while staring at my face. I pressed my lips together and shut the door beside her. She’s still weak but she was buried alive by that evil Connor Foster. I am evil too but I know that I couldn’t do something like this. This is too much.

“L-Leo, o-our baby. W-We lost o-our baby...”

I was taken aback by what she said. I slowly turned to her and saw the misery in her eyes. She lost her baby?

Her life was cruel...and I was one of the people who tormented her. That truth made me feel bitter. I became so evil because of hatred but I won’t blame anyone because it was my own choice.

“Sleep, Emily. We’ll talk later.”

I glanced at her and saw her staring at me. She swallowed hard before he nodded and slowly closed her eyes. How can I tell her that I’m not Leo? How can I make her understand that she lost her memories of the present and there are so many things that happened to her. She suffered and continued suffering. I’m ashamed to admit that I was part of her suffering. It was too late to regret now.

I wore a black bull cap before I carried Emily. I walked towards the hospital and was immediately assisted. The nurses asked me several questions but I just simply said I found her on the street. This is the safest answer I could give. I shouldn’t show myself to her while her memories haven’t come back.

I got in my car again and drove to Anderson’s mansion. I wanna make sure Kelly’s safe but when I got there, I was shocked after seeing dead people outside the house. I immediately rushed inside the house and saw Kelly’s bodyguards and some unknown men lying on the cold tile, bloody and dead.

“What the fck?” I whispered as I looked upstairs.

“KELLY!” I shouted and ran upstairs. I opened every door of the rooms but Kelly’s nowhere to be found. I ran downstairs again and went to the kitchen. I stepped on something. A cell phone. When I picked it up and opened it, I saw Kelly and Snow’s face as its lockscreen. Is this Anderson’s phone?

I clenched my jaws. Damn it! Where are they?

I fished out my phone and dialed Kelly’s number. I heard a loud ring so I rushed back to the living area and found Kelly’s phone on the floor. I picked it up and ended my call before I gripped the phone in my hand.
