Chase followed Shaun’s line of sight.
A man in a casual blue shirt was sitting by the window. He was carrying a baby in one hand, and a baby’s bag was hung on his other arm. He held a feeding bottle in his hand and was trying to coax the baby to drink milk.
Chase was shocked. He thought his eyes were fooling him.
When the man raised his head with a big smile on his handsome face, Chase thought he had gone blind.
What the f*ck.
Was that the cold, arrogant Chester with a temper worse than Shaun's?
“It’s shocking, right?” Shaun said sarcastically, “I thought I looked like a stay-at-home dad, but I realize I can’t even compare to him.”
Chase nodded his head in agreement. “Hey, do you think Chester is being put under some curse by Eliza?”
Shaun did not say a word. He did not dare to say that Eliza was Charity rebirthed because it would be troublesome if word of such an abnormal matter got out and caused Eliza to be captured as a research subject.
However, Shaun understood what Chase was thinking because he, too, wondered in the beginning if Chester was under a spell when it came to his feelings for Eliza.
That was until he learned that Eliza was Charity, and he finally saw the light.
After all, Charity was Chester’s first love.
Chase walked over and said hi to Chester. “Chester, don’t you think you’re too focused on this woman? You’re doting on a kid who’s not even related to you. I can’t even recognize the cold you anymore.”
After he spoke, he was met with Chester’s icy gaze.
“Oh my gosh. Are you blind? These eyes and features are 50 percent similar to yours. I think he’ll look exactly like you after his features develop further.”
Upon hearing that, Chester’s mood turned bad. He did not want the child to look like him.
He had just gotten back together with Charity. If she found out, she might think that he was deceiving her. Then, he would be in deep trouble, and they might even break up.
Chase clicked his tongue and looked envious. “You’re so lucky to be able to be a father without even working hard for it. Shaun, too. He was such a sc*m back then, but Cathy still brought the set of twins back to him. On the other hand, a kind, nice guy like me hasn’t even found a girlfriend yet. The heavens must be blind.”
“Who are you calling a sc*m?” Shaun’s spooky voice rang behind him.
Scared, Chase turned back and stumbled backward before he quickly ran in Catherine’s direction.
“Cathy, save me.”
