Be Your Lover Forever (Alicia) novel Chapter 1893

......

As soon as he sat down, Elijah picked up his chopsticks. Suddenly a black shadow blocked his view. When he looked up, he saw a beautiful smile. Under the soft light, she shone like the sun. He subconsciously raised his eyebrows slightly.

Was she staying in the hotel too?

Had she followed him there again?

Putting down the plate, Carolien waved her hand. She greeted him with a grin.

As soon as he looked up, he noticed that there were only a few people around. Thus, he squinted at her and said coldly, "Go away!"

There were so many seats available. It wasn't like the place was too crowded.

He even scooted forward in his chair. Carolien gently used her feet to tap his shiny leather shoes and whispered to him in a slightly coquettish tone.

"Don't be like that! Don't you think it's fate to bump into a friend when you're in a different country? Besides, haven't you heard people say that beauty alone can fill one's stomach? With a gorgeous woman like me by your side, you'll be able to eat even more, right?"

Carolien giggled and blinked at him.

Elijah stuffed a mouthful of food into his mouth and eyed her again. His gaze fell on the plate in front of her, which had even more food on it than his. He couldn't help but pause and mock her.

"Aren't you embarrassed?"

She sure knew how to make a fool of herself.

How could she eat so much? It wasn't like she could gain anything from that breakfast.

Pursing her red lips, Carolien subconsciously bit her fork. Shame flashed in her eyes, but it quickly disappeared.

Nobody wanted to embarrass themselves. However, she would rather throw her reputation aside temporarily than serve as a slave for the rest of her life.

"Haha..."

After a hollow laugh, Carolien quickly regained control over her mental state. She stopped smiling and her voice changed to a pitiful one.

"It's not like I'll disturb you if I don't talk. Just let me eat here, okay? I'm in an unfamiliar place where I can't even speak the language, so I'm pretty much an alien... Sitting with you gives me a sense of security!"

Her words were sincere, and there was a pleading look in her eyes as she blinked. Carolien looked at him again. "Can I?"

Elijah was speechless.

He took a mouthful of food and shoved it into his mouth.

Since he stayed silent, did that mean he agreed?

A bright smile instantly bloomed at the corner of her bright red lips. She twisted her body in joy, then lowered her head. Carolien was about to start eating happily when she saw the plate full of food that was almost overflowing. She was so shocked that her eyeballs nearly fell out of their sockets.

What was that?

What kind of food had she taken?

There was sushi, bread, short ribs, and pancakes.

On top of that, there was also a bowl of soup on the tray, which was filled to the brim.

She nearly fainted.

When did she take so much? Not to mention, everything she had taken was either meat or carbohydrates. Why hadn't she gotten something she liked?

She abruptly recalled the text written on the free coupon. There was also a big sign on the door with the same words.

It read, "Gentle reminder to not waste the free breakfast. For every 100 grams of food that is wasted, you have to pay an extra 50 thousand. Thank you for your cooperation!"

50 thousand in foreign currency was around 300 dollars.

Her eyes kept drooping. Looking at her round belly, Carolien was on the verge of crying from her own idiocy. The key was that she had just stuffed herself with food.

She was going to die.

This time, she was genuinely going to die.

Elijah silently took note of the wildly changing emotions in her eyes. Initially, he found her to be an eyesore, but right then, there was a trace of amusement in his gaze.

Had he actually made the right guess?

From the looks of it, it didn't seem like she had just taken some cheap tuna sushi, either.

Elijah had the feeling that he was about to watch something incredibly entertaining. His mood improved greatly.

Across from him, she put a piece of pork ribs into her mouth. Carolien wanted to cry, but no tears would come out. Were they going to charge her thousands of dollars if she couldn't finish her food?

Throughout the meal, Carolien genuinely stayed completely silent. Her face was bitter and she was busy fighting for her life.

When she got up, she felt as if the food had been stuffed all the way up to her throat and that her belly was about to burst. Fortunately, she could see the bottom of her plates, not to mention that there were some bones mixed into the remnants of the food. She wouldn't be penalized for wasting a bite or two.

Even walking was difficult. Every step she took was painful and unbearable for her, let alone chasing after Elijah.

It was horrible. She was so full! She didn't want to die and become a ghost with such a huge belly. Even if she was starving, it probably wouldn't be so bad. She had eaten so much that she wanted to throw up. She probably wouldn't eat Korean food ever again.

She clutched her belly and hobbled out with a hollow smile. From time to time, she would even lean against the wall for support. She was walking in a very strange manner, taking huge steps forward but moving slowly. Out of the corner of her eyes, she kept glancing behind her. Elijah's eyes were curved and his lips were tightly pursed into a line. When he finally stopped in front of the door to the elevator, he couldn't help but let out a chuckle.

Fortunately, she had already bumped into him once that day and found out that he lived on the 55th floor.

Was she going to eat breakfast again the next day?

Carolien look through the documents in her hand and subconsciously shivered. She shook his head and murmured. "No..." If she ate any more, she might pass away.

However, even if she was able to make it to the door of his room, she wouldn't know if he was inside or not. Even if he was, she couldn't necessarily get in.

Whether it was the elevator or the stairs, her room card greatly restricted her.

She paced back and forth around the room. Carolien did not have any good ideas. After hesitating for a long time, she changed her clothes and grabbed her bag.

He wouldn't necessarily go swimming or to the hotel's sauna. After all, his room had its own swimming pool.

Other than that, the only place she could enter and leave freely was the bar and banquet hall.

Those were both good places for evening entertainment, weren't they?

All she could do was try her luck.

Wearing a noble and beautiful wine-red skirt, Carolien went to the banquet hall first. That day, the banquet hall was relatively lively. However, there were not many people dancing on the floor. The atmosphere was clearly lifeless. Looking around, she did not see Elijah, so she went to the champagne bar next door.

She got to the door. Focusing her eyes, she caught sight of a hidden figure at the slightly dark bar counter. He was keeping a low profile, yet his figure was inconcealable. Was that Elijah?

As expected, he was handsome. She could spot him in a crowd from a mile away.

She was really lucky!

Carolien narrowed her beautiful eyes and adjusted her sexy skirt. She straightened her body and walked over in her high heels. As soon as she got close to him, a white figure suddenly took the lead to cut her off. The figure was another gorgeous, striking, and tall beauty. She was wearing a tight white skirt, and her black hair was long and straight. Her style was clearly Korean. Her face was fresh and she had a seductive figure. Anyone would think she was attractive. She was holding a glass in one hand as she beamed and began speaking in Korean.

"Hey there. You're really handsome. Can we be friends? I'm a regular here, and I've got connections with all kinds of famous people."

While speaking, the woman was even pouting her red lips, giving him a hint.

Elijah felt annoyed as he side-eyed the woman next to him. He was about to chase her away when he heard another beautiful voice chiming in, speaking in fluent Korean.

"Don't disturb my man, Miss! He's got a gorgeous girlfriend already, and he's not interested in pretty ladies."

Crossing her arms, Carolien looked serious and arrogant. After shrugging her shoulders, the woman retreated from the high chair.

"Sorry..."

The woman left, and a red figure replaced her. The eyes of Long Yaoying focused on Carolien, and his eyebrows were twisted into a ball.
