Lei Qian took a deep breath before pulling the mask over his mouth and Bai Meiyue did the same. Once they were done putting on their safety measures, they walked closer to the mansion while Bai Meiyue kept rattling everything that she knew about the third-level zombies: "They are known to have fatal cries; if you don’t dodge in time, then they will stun you. They hunt by making their prey dizzy."
"And there is no point in trying to kill them by cutting their heads off, not unless you can move faster than light. They explode like a bomb and everything that touches the chunk of their exploded body or gets splashed by their rotten blood will start melting and rotting. It’s a painful way to die."
"Then how could they be killed?" Lei Qian asked. Usually they killed the zombies by cutting their heads off. If they exploded when their heads were chopped off, then what other way was left for them to kill this zombie?
"By burning them," replied Bai Meiyue. She still remembered the horror of the time when one of her team leaders foolishly rushed at a third-level zombie after she was done freezing its feet. The man didn’t even stop to think that there was a very good chance that the zombie might have another skill hidden and only cared about its core.
The team leader was worried that Bai Meiyue would take the core for herself and charged ahead. What followed was nothing but carnage. Bai Meiyue was sensible enough to run in the opposite direction when the team leader charged at the zombie but others didn’t notice their actions.
Thus, when the team leader cut off the head of the zombie, more than ten people died in the aftermath. If not for that incident, Bai Meiyue wouldn’t have been locked up by the base’s officials, and Su Hu wouldn’t have had the time to sell her son away.
Bai Meiyue still had nightmares when she recalled that sight — but the tragedy couldn’t have been avoided, as it was only later on that they found out that the third-level zombies could be killed by burning them alive.
"It’s a good thing that I came with you," Lei Qian was unaware of what was going on in Bai Meiyue’s head. He smiled and commented, "This way things will become much easier." He spoke with a confident tone before heading towards the mansion.
Bai Meiyue glanced at the man whose confidence was overwhelming and then said to him, "You should be careful. It is not going to be as easy as you think it will be."
Lei Qian glanced at the woman next to him. He said to her, "I am always careful. After all, I need to take care of my wife and child. How can I let something happen to me?" Correct content is on f.ree w.e(b)nov el.c.om
After he finished speaking, he took a step forward and marched forward.
’Grrr.’
The sound of a zombie roar echoed in the silent mansion the second Lei Qian barged through the metal gates.
Bai Meiyue raised her head and looked at the zombie that was hiding in the shadows; unlike the other zombies, this one was clinging onto the corner of the wall like a ghost on all fours. View the correct content at f.reewebn.ovel.co\m
