An Understated Dominance (Maria Vittori) novel Chapter 1939

“What?” When Sebastian turned around, he was met with a gleam of light. It came at an extremely fast speed, bringing along a faint smell of blood.

The person who made the move was Ryan!

After being pinned to the tree, Ryan failed to break free. In the end, he grabbed the gun barrel with both hands and pulled himself forward by a foot.

When he got close to Sebastian, he targeted his neck.

His sharp nails were like blades of steel, extremely deadly.

“How pathetic!” Sebastian sneered when faced with the sudden attack. He punched right at Ryan without paying him any heed.

An explosion sounded.

Ryan’s nails cut through Sebastian’s energy armor. This caused Sebastian’s entire wrist to be cut off. Blood splattered everywhere at that moment.

“Ah!” Sebastian was taken aback seeing his hand on the ground. Immediately, he let out a shrill scream. Sebastian never expected Ryan’s nails to be that sharp. It could be compared to a divine weapon.

Ryan had broken his energy armor easily.

“My hand! My hand!” Sebastian covered his bleeding severed hand. He felt a mix of shock and anger, though he was more anxious than anything.

Sebastian thought he could easily suppress Ryan.

However, Sebastian found that his fists were practically useless in the battle. When faced with Ryan’s sharp claws, his hand had been cut off just like that.

Sebastian was startled by such a brutal attack.

Without giving Sebastian time to react, Ryan swung his fists and broke the gun barrel. With that, Ryan was freed. 2

Then, Ryan roared and rushed toward Sebastian.

“D-Don’t come over here. Get away!” Blood drained from Sebastian’s face. Without caring about his image, he turned around and ran away.

Sebastian was scarred from Ryan’s attack just now.

Now that Sebastian had lost a hand and that his spear was hanging on the tree, he didn’t have the courage to fight back.

Sebastian’s first instinct was to run away in the face of intense pain.

If he knew that this was going to happen, he wouldn’t have acted arrogantly earlier. Instead, he would have killed Ryan once and for all.

Nobody could have expected that Ryan was fearless after going berserk. He fought like he didn’t fear dying. Ryan was out of his mind!

Seeing Sebastian running away, Ryan naturally wouldn’t let him go. With a roar, Ryan chased after Sebastian.

“Somebody! Go and block this madman!” While running, Sebastian would turn and look back from time to time.

Soon, Sebastian was horrified to discover that Ryan was much faster than him. Ryan was charging forward like a tank as he ran.

Ryan’s speed, strength, defense, and even recovery skills had been strengthened. His limbs, skin, and five senses all exhibited varying degrees of mutation. At that moment, Dustin couldn’t find any trace of humanity in Ryan.

“Fuck! Why didn’t you make a move earlier? I was about to die just now!” After returning to his senses, Sebastian scolded Dustin first instead of thanking him.

Dustin furrowed his eyebrows and looked at the man lying on the ground confusedly. “What? What are you saying?”

Sebastian scolded frankly, “You almost killed me! I wouldn’t have been this injured if you weren’t so slow! Look at all the blood on me. It’s all your fault!”

“Are you crazy? Why are you blaming me when I saved your life?” Dustin asked indifferently.

Dustin had never seen someone as ridiculous as Sebastian. Not only was Sebastian not grateful, but he even bit the hand that fed him.

“What’s wrong with blaming you? Am I wrong? You could have saved me, yet you waited until I was severely injured to help. You’re just helping me for show!” Sebastian scolded, venting out all his anger.

Upon hearing that, Dustin sneered.

Someone who repaid kindness with enmity was truly disgusting.

“Why so silent? Do you feel guilty as I hit the nail on the head? I knew you had evil intentions!” Sebastian snorted.

“Okay, then. It’s true that I have other intentions. You can handle him by yourself, then.” Dustin turned around and left, not bothering to say more.

At that moment, Ryan was already back on his feet. His black orbs were glaring right at Sebastian indifferently.
