An Understated Dominance (Maria Vittori) novel Chapter 1640

Grandmaster martial artists skillfully hid within the assembly, discreetly blending in with Anders and his formidable Fang Legion. The ambush was nothing short of imposing.

“Logan, think this is the end? Bit too optimistic.” Anders sneered and shook his head. “Truth is, we’ve prepared for the worst. What you see here is just the tip of the iceberg. More skilled warriors are on their way. Even if you have supernatural powers, today is your judgment day!”

The assembled group appeared to be sufficient for Dustin. However, a lingering unease persisted-the potential for enemy reinforcements. Maintaining vigilance was, as it had always been, a wise decision.

“Anders, is Moseys Mansion also a puppet for the Dragon Guard?” Dustin questioned.

“It’s an honor to serve the Dragon Guard. Unfortunately, it’s your misfortune,” Anders replied candidly.” You had the option to play dead and live a quiet life. But by delving into the truth of the past, your existence is now a threat and must be eliminated.”

Even the Dragon Guard held authority over the King, who was merely a puppet. Naturally, Anders aimed to impress. If he performed well and proved his loyalty, he might join the Dragon Guard, becoming a force more formidable than the Prince of West Lucozia.

“Looks like there’s no easy way out today,” Dustin remarked, beckoning with his hand. “Come on, whoever isn’t afraid of death, step forward. Let me see what you’re made of!”

“Hmph! It looks like you won’t accept defeat until you’re at the end of your rope,” Anders scoffed, about to issue the attack command.

“That’s right! My master’s is unparalleled. Dispatching this weakling with his Nexus Dominator Fist is as easy as pie!” the disciples of Nexus Gate taunted, completely dismissing the Kirin.

“Alright! Since Master Brock is so confident, go ahead and give it a try. Good luck, and may you be victorious!” Anders agreed without hesitation. He mainly wanted to use the leader of Nexus Gate to gauge Dustin’s strength. If he won, it would be ideal. If not, at least it would force Dustin to reveal some of his cards.

“Much obliged, Mr. Mosey!” The man gave a courteous nod, then advanced a few steps, fixing his gaze on Dustin.

He exclaimed with confidence, “Kid! I’m the leader of Nexus Gate, known far and wide for my martial skills. Brace yourself for the sheer force behind my meticulously trained fists-years of relentless dedication packed into each strike!”
