Chapter 98: Appointment for Termination
Chapter 98: Appointment for Termination
(Arla’s POV)
“Are you really going to terminate the pregnancy?” Olivia’s blunt question hung in the air between us.
I couldn’t look her in the eyes, Instead, I stared down at my hands trembling in my lap.
“Yes, I’ve made my decision,” I said softly, one hand instinctively moving to my belly where my unborn pup was growing.
The weight of this choice crushed down on me. My wolf whimpered within me, already mourning what would
soon be lost.
“I think Claire Watson knows about my pregnancy,” I explained, trying to keep my voice steady. “Her visit to Silver Leaf Herbalists wasn’t just about getting me fired. It was a test and a threat.”
Olivia’s eyes widened. “You think she’s trying to intimidate you?”
“She needs my mate bond severance with Alexander to happen smoothly so she can complete their marking ceremony and legitimize her unborn pup.”
The bitter irony wasn’t lost on me. Claire and I both wanted the same thing a swift end to my relationship with Alexander – but for entirely different reasons.
“You don’t have to do this, Aria,” Olivia reached across the table and squeezed my hand. “We’ve already
arted getting used to the idea of you having a pup.”
I could see the genuine sadness in her eyes. She’d already started planning shopping trips for baby items, had started referring to herself as “Auntie Olivia‘ when we were alone.
“What if we find that pack servant first?” she suggested, her voice brightening with desperate hope. “If we discover who the male was, or who sent him…”
I shook my head firmly. “It doesn’t matter who he was or who sent him. This pup can’t stay.”
“But there’s still a chance-”
“A chance for what?” I interrupted, more sharply than I intended. “A chance that it’s Alexander’s after all? That would only complicate things further.”
Olivia hesitated, then leaned forward, her voice dropping to a whisper even though we were alone in my
apartment.
“What if it was Dominic? You could have a new life with him,” she pleaded, her eyes hopeful.
The suggestion hit me like a physical blow.
“Don’t be ridiculous,” I said firmly, “If it had been Dominic that night, he would have told me. His Alpha he would demand it.”
Olivia looked disappointed but didn’t press further. She understood I’d made up my mind.
After she left, I sat alone in my living room, tears streaming down my face as I placed both hands on my
belly

I’m sorry, little one. I whispered to my unborn pup. This isn’t your fault. Maybe some
right, I’ll welcome another pup properly. But not now: Not like this:
With trembling fingers, I opened my laptop and navigated to the Wolf Moon Medical Center website. Three days from now, there was an opening for the procedure.
1 clicked “confirm,” my wolf howling mournfully within me as the appointment was scheduled.
The next morning, Olivia arrived with a suitcase.
I’m moving in for a few days,” she announced, brushing past me into the apartment. “You shouldn’t be alone right now.”
I didn’t have the energy to argue. In truth, I was grateful for her presence. When I was alone, my thoughts spiraled relentlessly into darkness,
Tve got movies, junk food, and a plan to distract you completely,” she said, unpacking snacks onto my kitchen counter.
My mobile phone chimed with a text message. Dominic’s name appeared on the screen.
“New h
herbal remedy company ready for your inspection. Interested in seeing it today?”
I hadn’t expected to hear from him so soon after my breakdown at the Quinn estate. Part of me wanted to decline, to curl up and hide from the world until my appointment. But another part desperately needed the
distraction.
“Yes, that would be nice,” I texted back, waiting anxiously for his response.
It came almost immediately: “I’ll pick you up in 30 minutes.”
My w
wolf was surprisingly calm as I prepared to see him, despite the turmoil raging within me.
Exactly thirty minutes later, there was a firm knock at my door. I opened it to find Dominic standing there, his powerful Alpha scent filling the corridor.
“Good morning,” he said, his silver–gray eyes taking in my appearance. I’d tried my best to look normal, but I knew my eyes were still red–rimmed from crying.
If he noticed, he didn’t comment. “Ready to see the company?”
“Actually,” Olivia appeared beside me, “I’d love to tag along if that’s okay.”
Dominic’s eyebrow raised slightly, but he nodded. “Of course.”
In his luxury SUV with the Shadow Pack emblem gleaming on the doors, Dominic explained his plans. “I’ve registered an herbal remedy company near my Shadow Security operations,” he said, his deep voice filling the car. “But I need someone with expertise to manage it.”
I caught his eyes in the rearview mirror. “Someone like me?”
“Exactly like you.” His lips curved into a slight smile. “The position is yours if you want it.”
Olivia practically bounced in her seat with excitement. That’s amazing! Aria, you’d be perfect for this!” Her initial enthusiasm faded slightly as she glanced discreetly at my slightly swollen belly beneath my loose–fitting dress. Her wolf’s protective instincts were clearly visible in her concerned expression.
Chapter 98 Appointment t
We pulled up to a modern building with large windows and a minimalist design. The sign read “Northern Remedies” in elegant silver lettering
“I need to handle some urgent pack business,” Dominic said as we entered the facility. “Hunter will show you
around.”
Hunter Hayes, Dominic’s personal assistant, greeted us with a professional nod. He was a serious–looking man in his thirties with observant dark eyes.
“This way, please,” he said, leading us through security doors into the main facility.
I gasped as we entered. The equipment was state–of–the–art, far exceeding anything I’d seen before, even a renowned places like Silver Moon Herbalists.
