Selena smiled slightly and said, "I got fired, so I’ll be heading home to wait for my compensation."

Since being let go required severance pay, her coworkers’ faces immediately shifted. They avoided further conversation with her, likely out of fear of getting involved in any legal issues.

Selena didn’t mind. She calmly finished packing her belongings and made a quick call for an assistant to come up and move everything out.

“From what I understand, Mr. Dean has risen to his current position largely by leaning on your influence. But it looks like he's planning to step on you to climb even higher—and maybe even leave you behind entirely."

Victoria was unaware that Larry owned multiple overseas properties not under his name, as well as large sums of money in virtual accounts.

Her hands balled into fists as she stared at Selena. "Are you sure all of this is real?"

Selena nodded calmly. "If you don’t believe me, you’re welcome to look into it yourself. He didn’t cover his tracks well. I’m sure you’ll find the truth."

With that, Selena stood up and said, "I’ve got other matters to attend to, so I’ll leave you to it."

She turned and walked away, leaving Victoria sitting at the table, frozen in place, processing what she had just learned.
