After the CEO Divorced Me, He Wants Me Back (Aveline and Lucas) novel Chapter 1001

Aveline looked at him in confusion, not understanding what he meant.

Gavin remained silent for a moment before finally speaking, "What exactly is their plan?"

Hearing this, Aveline smiled.

Gavin had agreed to help.

She told Selena about it.

Selena was thrilled and said, "Once everything is settled, I’ll treat Gavin to a meal."

Aveline replied, "Mm-hmm, I’ll pass along the message."

Selena went to tell Aaron about it, but his expression darkened.

Selena asked in confusion, "What’s wrong?"

Aaron responded, "I don’t need his help."

Taking over Fletcher Enterprises was something he could handle on his own.

But Selena said, "The more people we have, the stronger we’ll be. If we can gain control of Fletcher Enterprises without bloodshed, wouldn’t that be even better?"

Aaron, however, replied, "Do you realize that debts of gratitude are the hardest to repay? If he helps me, how am I supposed to repay him?"

"Uh..." Selena fell silent for a moment. She had considered this but had thought too simply. In the business world, favors could always be returned when needed.

Aaron pinched her cheek and said, "I’ll handle this, so don’t worry. If you’re really bored, you can go to Larbor City and visit Aveline."

Selena’s eyes lit up, but she quickly shook her head and said, "No, I want to stay here with you."

Aaron kissed her and said, "So clingy?"

Aaron, along with Selena, brought a gift box and headed straight for the care home. It was nestled in the woods, far from the city, with fresh air and a serene environment. Their car stopped at the entrance, where someone immediately came to check.

Aaron handed over his business card.

They were escorted toward the building, and along the way, Selena admired the beautifully landscaped gardens and flowers. She remarked, "When I get old, I’d like to live in a place like this."

Aaron replied, "Our children won’t exile us to a place like this."

Selena glanced at him. "The kids aren’t even born yet, how would you know?"

Aaron confidently responded, "They’re my children, of course I know!"

His confidence was almost amusing.

They knocked on the door, and shortly after, a man in a caretaker’s uniform opened it. Seeing them, he asked in confusion, "Who are you?"
