This made Hesso frown. It almost took him out of immersion, but Misha was quick to add a bit more scent. Still, the annoyance was palpable. "Valov? Why do you ask about those jerks?"
Misha blinked innocently. "I keep hearing about our Voumi Town compared to them," she said, her tone indignant. "I heard that when Valov had been a town for a few decades, they had already upgraded to Level 2. Meanwhile, Voumi..."
In that same time frame, Voumi Town was not close to upgrading at all.
Unsurprisingly, this triggered Hesso, who slapped the side of his wooden tub, creating a dent.
"What?" he bellowed. "Heh, they’re so proud when they only got big because of the backing of Hassen City!"
Misha’s eyebrows rose, extending her arms to touch his flabby face. He looked at her beautiful face in fascination.
"Can you tell me more? So I know what to answer those naysayers."
As she said this, she used a bit more of her skill again. Her ability naturally had minimal effects on strong people, so it wasn’t like this skill could work as efficiently as it did for someone else.
Fortunately, Hesso’s level wasn’t too far from hers—less than 10 level difference—and not to mention, he was a balloon whose level didn’t quite equate to true strength.
His head was also already muddled—almost always filled with useless things, mostly of sex, so frankly, it wasn’t difficult at all.
It’s why she attached herself to him—there was simply no better, safer target.
And even if all she could do for now was further muddle his mind, it was enough for her to get the information she wanted.
"Well, Valov Town is not close to here. Some 600 or 700 miles or so West of us," he said as he grabbed her soft hand. "However, they pass by a lot because they had a territory southeast of us. It’s a village that has black metal mines.
"They don’t come too often, but when they do, they’re really arrogant," he said, gritting his teeth.
She could imagine him getting into conflict with a Valov party. He was probably flaunting around his ’heir’ status, and the arrogant Valov people didn’t put him in their eye, especially because he was so weak.
Anyway, Hesso was chatty, and she listened patiently as he continued to rant. "They often have carts and carts of Black metal with them to bring back to Hassen, you know? Dunno why they need so many, especially since they have so many black metal mines already, but who cares."
Misha blinked. From what she gathered, black metal was a lot like iron, and the location of Hassen seemed to have a number of those mines. Why bother with a single village so far away? Were they just trying to monopolize the resource?
He tried to add tariffs and earn, but it ended up being quite a scandal because he was so weak. Those bastards just laughed at him and when he tried to cause a scene, he ended up being humiliated. He escaped the fate of being beaten up only because he was the heir, but he was pushed to the road, with his face landing on beast poo!
He was so mad that he even got a few subsidiary villages to attack Guia, though that ended up in disaster and, for the first time, his uncle gave him a stern warning, too.
And in public!!
Urgh! Just remembering that humiliation made him so angry!!
