Once she said that, everyone finally calmed down, and the bidding fired up again.

Kenneth could barely stand watching the chaos. If his grandson and granddaughter didn’t hold him up, he might’ve just collapsed right there.

The priceless pill being auctioned off was originally supposed to be his birthday gift, and the thought of this made his chest ache.

He had just let it slip away, right in front of him.

His eyes turned red as he stared at the crowd.

What Simone didn’t know was that once they left, the rest of the guests quietly left too.

After what happened, it was obvious to anyone that Simone and Kenneth weren’t on good terms.
