Jared could only smile helplessly before he decided to chase after her.

In a hurry, Jared followed the direction of her finger. Not far off, a massive black vortex had descended from the sky. Dark clouds gathered densely above it, with lightning continuously striking down, only to disappear into the vortex.

“There's definitely some kind of creature inside that vortex. That looks like lightning tribulation.”

Even though Jared couldn't detect it through his spiritual sense, the lightning didn't seem ordinary from a distance. It seemed more like tribulation.

After all, lightning tribulation didn't discriminate based on location. Even if one was in a secret realm, such an event could occur as long as a person or a demon beast was undergoing tribulation.

Jared turned to her. “What did you just say? Something about a master?”

Catalina glanced at the rune in her palm and clutched her life-saving token before gritting her teeth and following along.

Just as the two went closer, an unexpected surge of immense power struck, abruptly sending both of them flying backward.

Following that, a figure gradually emerged from the black vortex, with an aura of terrifying lightning power radiating around him.

It was only then Jared and the others recognized it to be a demon beast.

The beast emerged from the vortex, hopping on a single foot. It held two thunder hammers in its hands, and bursts of lightning erupted as the hammers clashed.

“The lightning beast? Could this actually be the legendary lightning beast?”

Catalina couldn't help but cry out in shock upon laying eyes on the bizarre creature.

“D*mned humans, disrupting my cultivation!” the lightning beast roared as it steadily advanced toward Jared and Catalina.

The surrounding lightning had now trapped them.
