Carlo was well aware of Jared's abilities. To him, the Sky Slasher Sect's magical techniques were mere trash.

“Him?” Stanton was taken aback but then snorted coldly, “You expect me to kneel and apologize? Keep dreaming! Don't think your Duad Formation Sect is so untouchable. I have reinforcements.”

As he finished speaking, Stanton looked over at Thaddeus. If Thaddeus and his people could help him, he could defeat the Duad Formation Sect.

“President Surrey, are you just going to stand by and do nothing at a time like this?” Stanton loudly questioned Thaddeus.

Thaddeus' expression turned awkward. He had agreed to collaborate with Stanton, but now that Stanton was in a battle with the Duad Formation Sect, they were indeed just watching from the sidelines.

At that moment, Carlo noticed Thaddeus and his group. That made him frown.

He hadn't expected the many alchemists aboard the spirit ship to be allied with the Sky Slasher Sect!

Seeing them escape, Thaddeus froze in place.

“Mr. Laurent, President Chance, now is the time for revenge,” Jared said with a slight smile after breaking through the formation.

“Everyone, the time for revenge has come! Slaughter these beasts from the Sky Slasher Sect and avenge our fallen comrades!” Sylvain roared.

The disciples of Medicine God Island let out furious cries and charged at the Sky Slasher Sect.

The two Sky Slasher Sect elders were reluctant but had no choice. They stopped and prepared to face Jared.

“Slash!” Jared swung his sword, and the sharp sword light descended like a heavenly blade, striking one of the elders from the Sky Slasher Sect.

Both elders hastily cast magecraft to form a protective shield, but it was useless.

Jared's sword light effortlessly pierced through the shield and cleaved one of the elders in two.

The Dragonslayer Sword is growing stronger. I wonder how Zelda is doing. It seems I'll need to visit Divine Smithing Sect soon and fully restore the Dragonslayer Sword. Only then will Zelda be free, Jared thought to himself, looking at the sword in his hand.

Since the sword spirit Zelda was injured and couldn't leave the Dragonslayer Sword, the weapon's power had greatly diminished.

The biggest issue was that with Zelda trapped inside the sword, Jared had lost a valuable ally.

If Zelda could be restored, she would be Jared's trump card, able to fight independently at crucial moments.
