Hundreds of vine-like tendrils shot toward Jared from all directions. Like a cage closing in on him, the tendrils attempted to trap him.

Jared's lips curled up slightly. His eyes sparkled.

Just as the tendrils closed in on Jared and were about to ensnare him, he suddenly disappeared right before Woodley's eyes.

Woodley was instantly shocked. The hundreds of tendrils lost their target and became entangled.

“Where is he?” Woodley yelled.

His heart raced as he couldn't comprehend how Jared had vanished right before his eyes.

But soon, Woodley felt movement behind him.

He attempted to turn around to check, but the hundreds of intertwined tendrils had ensnared his body, preventing him from moving.
