“What's going on over there?” someone asked when they saw the golden light and sensed the terrifying aura on the mountaintop.

The sect members all stared at the strange scene on the peak of the mountain.

“What a powerful aura. Are there demon beasts of higher level on the mountaintop?” Wrey furrowed his brows.

“The fact that we can detect this aura from so far away... I believe it's the king of demon beasts. Its strength is unquestionably greater than a Martial Arts Sovereign!” Hugh's expression turned grim.

If such a powerful demon beast exists in this secret realm, then we must be cautious. When we divide the territories, we need to stay far away from the domain of the king of demon beasts. Otherwise, a sect assigned to that region will be at risk of getting eliminated by it.

Meanwhile, after the phoenix absorbed the power from the demon beasts' cores on top of the mountain, it circled around Jared's body twice, then transformed back into a golden light and hid in his forehead.

Jared coughed and slowly opened his eyes.

The first thing he saw when his eyelids were lifted was the blue sky.

“What is this place? I'm not dead?” He knitted his eyebrows.

The last thing I remember before I fainted is following that short man into battle. I don't know what happened next.

“You don't have to be afraid of them, Jared. These demon beasts have become your subordinates. They won't harm you.” Ranzoph's voice rang out.

“What? My subordinates? What's going on?” Jared was utterly clueless about what had transpired.

“More accurately, these demon beasts are the subordinates of that gal of yours, which make them yours, too,” explained Ranzoph.

“Gal? What gal?” Jared was still confused.

“Have you seriously forgotten who I'm talking about? It's Feenix.”

After Ranzoph recounted the events that had taken place earlier, Jared realized the power Feenix had left in his body was the one that tamed those demon beasts.

It wasn't surprising Feenix could subdue those demon beasts when she could do the same with the more powerful ones at Demon Beast Mountain.
