A Touch of Sweetness (Finnick Norton and Vivian William) novel Chapter 3049

Chapter 3049

"Shut up!" Jory barked and glared at her angrily.

His friend was in trouble, so he couldn't sit back and do nothing.

Both Larry and Joan supported him too.

"Dustin, if you need help, just let us know.If you don't have enough money, I can be of help,"

Joan glanced at Larry and uttered softly.

Dustin looked at her, he felt touched and was grateful.

All the while, Jessica remained silent, her expression calm. She knew Joan wouldn't turn a blind eye to Abelyn's kidnapping.

If Jory hadn't offered help, Jessica would've told Larry to pay the ransom on behalf of Dustin.

Joan was a kind person, so Abelyn must be blind for trying to harm her.

Five hundred thousand was nothing to Jory, so he quickly received the money in cash.

"Do you need me to send someone-"

"No need," Dustin interrupted.

"The kidnapper said I need to go there alone"

Won't it be dangerous for him to head there alone with five hundred grand? Joan voiced her concern.

"Larry, why don't you send a few men to follow him?"

"Don't worry.I know what to do."

Larry strode out right after saying that.

Seeing how busy Joan was, Nancy felt slightly irritated, but she soon got over it.

Friendship was important to them.

Perhaps Abelyn had a reason to scheme against Joan.

"You're here? Great! Make sure you're alone, or I shall kill her without hesitation!" the man reminded Dustin.

"Dustin, don't come here! Leave right this instance!" Abelyn's sudden yell pierced the air.

Upon hearing her screams, Dustin hurriedly said, "Let her go! I will pay the ransom willingly"

Bullsh*t.I'm not a three-year-old kid.

"No way. I need to receive the money before I release her; the man declared.

There was no room for negotiation in his tone.

Dustin had no choice but to listen to the man and place the money in the designated location.

"Looks like your boyfriend loves you dearly. He got the money right after I called him to save you. You should thank him for his efforts; the man mocked as he brought Abelyn out of the room.

The moment Dustin saw how exhausted and disheveled Abelyn was, his heart shattered into pieces.

"Abelyn, it's fine. I'm here to take you home" he assured her.
