“You guys are Callie’s brothers. Whatever makes you happy, I’m fine with it,” Silas said, his tone casual.
Julius glanced up, a skeptical eyebrow raised. “Aren’t you worried Callie might not agree?”
Silas shook his head. “Not really. If you guys are bold enough to bring this up, I figure you must have a way to get Callie on board. Anyway, that’s your problem, not mine. If I used Callie as an excuse right now, I’m pretty sure none of you would buy it.”
He was sharp, and none of them could deny that.
The three brothers exchanged glances, each nodding, temporarily satisfied.
“Oh, by the way, mind if I read your fortune?” Julius asked.
Silas barely hesitated. “Go ahead. You’re Callie’s brother. Whatever you want to know, knock yourself out.”
Julius grinned, his curiosity piqued. “Alright, no holding back then.”
“Be my guest,” Silas replied, just as cool.
Julius pulled out a battered old deck of tarot cards from his coat pocket. “Just need your birthday.”
Silas gave it, and Julius started shuffling, his face gradually growing more serious with every card he turned.
Quentin and Norton watched him intently, picking up on the subtle crease forming between his brows. Both of them felt a twist of unease. Julius had always had a strange knack for these readings. He was never wrong. If he looked this unsettled, it probably wasn’t a good sign.
They wanted Silas to pass their test. Sure, they needed to scrutinize him, but honestly, if anyone was good enough for Callie, well, it just might be this guy. She clearly liked him, and besides, who else even came close?

That's weird, in the first chapters there was said that her bio parents and bros doteď on Caliope but then they adopted Lisette, but this chapter suddenly says otherwise. Did author forget what he wrote?...
