Calliope watched him take off, a small, content smile on her face. As long as her brothers were happy, she was happy too.
Not far away, Valerian glared at Calliope, seething. He’d thought that car was for him, but no, it wasn’t. And now he was the butt of office jokes, everyone snickering behind his back, thinking he was way out of his league.

That's weird, in the first chapters there was said that her bio parents and bros doteď on Caliope but then they adopted Lisette, but this chapter suddenly says otherwise. Did author forget what he wrote?...
