The stand-in had already unlocked the hotel room door. He knew Silas so well by now that he could copy his every move, right down to the way he walked and talked. It was almost creepy how perfect the imitation was.
Of course, no one in the livestream could actually see his face. All they saw was “Silas” walk into the room, and then, there was Yvette.
Yvette had clearly been waiting. She wore a slinky, barely-there dress, and the room was hazy with some kind of incense that made everything feel a little off.
“Uncle Silas! I knew you’d show up!” Yvette’s voice was breathy with excitement the second she saw him.
“I bet it crushed you when you saw Calliope go visit Gideon, didn’t it?” She sighed dramatically. “I’m heartbroken too. I know they’re not over each other. That’s why I wanted to meet you. There’s nothing we can do, right? Two miserable souls. Let’s just sit and have a drink together.”
“Uncle Silas, come sit. I brought some wine.”
She barely had anything on, and every move she made seemed carefully choreographed to show more skin. When she leaned over to pour a glass, the camera caught a generous view.
At that moment, the livestream chat totally blew up.
[Whoa, what am I watching? Is this for real? Wait, isn’t that Gideon’s wife, Yvette? And Uncle Silas, is that actually you?]
Silas: [Just to clarify, that’s not me, okay? That guy just really looks like me.]
[Oh thank God! I was about to freak out. Auntie would lose her mind if this was real!]
Yvette answered everything, thinking Silas was finally interested in her.
“Silas, you don’t get it. I’ve always loved you! The only reason I married Gideon was because of you!”
“Since Calliope wants Gideon back so badly, why don’t we just get together? I’m serious, I really love you. Don’t you think I’m good enough? Or do you only have eyes for Calliope? What’s so great about her, anyway? She only ever cared about Gideon. She married you to make him jealous!”
“But my feelings for you are real!” Yvette stared at the stand-in with total sincerity. “You’re the only one I want!”
The chat exploded. Within seconds, the whole family group was watching. Everyone was losing their minds.

This is starting to be the same twister of abilities as Cassandra Yates and Tiffany. But question is, why the hell Silas can't just open his mouth and tell Caliope that she's the one whom he has in his heart. He would prevent a lot of misunderstanding. Seems like despite capability of talking with modified arctic wolf, she's not like telepathic....
Oh no, so FL is again another hidden genius with both hemispheres working on hundreds... Ffffuuuu. Cassandra Yates and Tiffany were already enough, ughugh. And Tiffany was even more exaggerated than Cassandra....
That's weird, in the first chapters there was said that her bio parents and bros doteď on Caliope but then they adopted Lisette, but this chapter suddenly says otherwise. Did author forget what he wrote?...
