Yvette shot a glance at Calliope, her eyes narrowing. "Someone's coming over. Can we have a chat over here for a moment?"
Before Calliope could respond, Yvette had already grabbed her wrist and was pulling her into the hallway nearby.
Calliope thought to herself, well, it was bound to happen sooner or later.
"Yvette, I know what you're planning, and I'm telling you, it's not worth it."
"You think you know what I'm up to?" Yvette's eyes narrowed further. She was dressed in a striking red evening gown, her heels clicking sharply against the floor, her voice carrying a sharp edge.
"Calliope, you're married to Silas. What gives you the right to come between me and Gideon! I'm warning you, I won't let you off the hook! You can't take Gideon away from me!"
"I'm going to make sure the whole world knows about your wicked ways! With this many people around, imagine if something happened to the baby I'm carrying because of you. How do you think people would see you?"
"I know Gideon might not care much about me, but he does care about this child I'm carrying. And Fleur, she cares a lot about this baby too! If anything happens to the baby because of you, how do you think the Baker family would react?"
Calliope remained calm, "The Baker family wouldn't think much of it because they'd know your baby was never viable to begin with. Yvette, the embryo you're carrying isn't in good shape, is it?"
"Technically, the doctor advised you against keeping the baby, but you did it anyway, just to use it against me, right?"
"Hahaha, if they thought you did it for Gideon, do you think Silas would still be fond of you?"
Calliope stood still, watching Yvette's performance with an impassive expression.
After her outburst, Yvette suddenly changed her tone, feigning panic, "No, Auntie! Auntie, please spare me!"
"Auntie, I'm still carrying Gideon's child! You can't do this to me for Gideon's sake!"
"You're already married to Silas, and if you do this, both Silas and Gideon will be heartbroken!"

This is starting to be the same twister of abilities as Cassandra Yates and Tiffany. But question is, why the hell Silas can't just open his mouth and tell Caliope that she's the one whom he has in his heart. He would prevent a lot of misunderstanding. Seems like despite capability of talking with modified arctic wolf, she's not like telepathic....

That's weird, in the first chapters there was said that her bio parents and bros doteď on Caliope but then they adopted Lisette, but this chapter suddenly says otherwise. Did author forget what he wrote?...
