Once Cade departed, Cloud intended to return to his room. Suddenly, Miya blocked his path. “Why are you still up at this late hour, Miya?” he inquired.

“Let me ask you something, Cloud. Were you inquiring about outsiders being allowed into the ancestral land because you want Mr. Chance to enter?” Miya questioned.

Surprised that Miya overheard his conversation with Cade, Cloud hesitated but then shook his head. “No, I was just curious.”

“Don’t lie, Cloud. Does Mr. Chance desire to visit the ancestral land too?” Miya pressed.

Observing Miya’s determination, Cloud nodded resignedly. “Mr. Chance is probably considering it, although he didn’t explicitly say so. I believe he would benefit greatly from absorbing the free nascence in the ancestral land, especially given his grasp of nascence power.”
