Jacob immediately checked her breath and was relieved to know that she was still alive. “Maybe she just fainted,“ he said to Emily.

Emily, although shocked and still a bit lost, managed to calm down. She let Jacob support the servant first, holding her head up a little while she took out her mobile phone. “All right, I'll call the police.“

Jacob nodded. “Okay.“ Jacob got down to clearing up the mess, and Emily helped clean the house up. The housekeeping service company and the security company had also come, so Jacob asked Emily to go to the study instead.
