Felix was quite surprised by the person who entered. 

Joshua turned with a scowl and was about to bark out. But he suddenly froze and quickly changed his tone. “Ms… Ms. Cooper? Why are you here?” 

Indeed, it was Yvonne who had arrived. From Joshua’s address, Felix guessed that Yvonne had to be the president of Stellar Group. What a coincidence! 

“As president, am I not allowed at Stellar Group’s city–within–a–city partnership gala?” Yvonne entered with a stern expression, followed by two others who appeared to be high- 

level executives. 

“Of course, I… I was just surprised. Please forgive me. 

After sitting down, Yvonne spoke, “Notify Warren Quinton of Velocis Ventures that Stellar Group has added another partnership slot for the city–within–a–city project. It’s for his company.” 

“Yes, ma’am!” One of the executives left immediately. 

Joshua had a bad feeling. “Ms. Cooper, won’t the other five partner companies object to this?” 

Yvonne gave him a cold and disdainful look. “Does Stellar Group ever need to consider our partners‘ feelings in our decisions? Joshua, you’re becoming more and more delusional. I’m starting to doubt if you can continue to work as our vice president.” 

Joshua hurriedly waved his hands. “That’s not what I meant, Ms. Cooper. I’m truly just considering the company’s interests.” 

Yvonne let out a cold laugh and pointed to the door. “You may leave. Go to headquarters tomorrow to process your resignation.” 

Joshua’s face darkened, thinking he must have misheard. “Why? Ms. Cooper, what did I do wrong?” 

“Nothing. Felix is my friend. You’ve offended me by targeting him. So, you can get lost now. 

Felix was surprised by Yvonne’s forceful attitude. He had not noticed this side of her before, but now, it was on full display. 

Joshua turned to Felix with eyes full of disbelief. How could this man be friends with Yvonne? It was too much! 

Once upon a time, Joshua had liked Yvonne and still could not forget her. If his un not arranged his marriage to be with Xena, he would have pursued Yvonné long ago.

“But remember this, Yvonne. I’m not as simple as I appear. Before long, you’ll be kneeling and begging for my forgiveness.” 

Yvonne shook her head, thinking the shock must have addled Joshua’s brain. “Get out!” 

As he was about to leave, Joshua’s phone rang. He checked it and grew ecstatic. 

After replying, he arrogantly pointed at Yvonne. “Haha! My uncle is here. Sorry that I misspoke earlier. You won’t be kneeling to beg my forgiveness in the future–it’ll be right now!” 

Ignoring the man’s final bout of madness, Yvonne stood and said to Felix before leaving,” Felix, I’m sorry. I hope my amends aren’t too late.” 

Felix remained seated on the couch, smiling. “Not at all. Thanks.” 

He had finally made up for his debt to Warren, but Felix was not leaving yet. Though Joshua had been fired, Felix did not feel satisfied. He wanted to give Joshua some physical pain so he would truly remember what he should not mess with. 

Joshua did not try to stop Yvonne from leaving. Once his uncle arrived, Yvonne would surely come running back to kneel before him.
