The Primordial Record novel Chapter 1410

Eva, the Lady of Shadows, was the last to leave the Great Desert. Sending Andar and Nivi alongside their charge away from this place alongside a contingent of Angels, she settled upon the great task that Rowan had set her out to accomplish. It required a consummate knowledge of the utilization of Astrolabe and of all his children and subordinates, none could match Eva in this aspect.

Without the presence of Nemesis, this dimension that had held the Memories of countless powerful immortals from the dawn of the Primordial Era had gone into disarray, and the massive crater that Rowan made in order to reach its foundations had remained for far longer than even Eva anticipated until something changed.

Above the Great Desert, a rain of blood, souls, memories, and Wills began to fall into the massive crater, and this became the fuel that was needed to close this gap. Unknown to Eva, at precisely the time these changes began to happen, Primordial Chaos had released a drop of his blood that killed countless Chaos Bloods all over reality, the number of deaths was impossible to determine, and unless someone had an overall vision of the state of Reality, that number might never be known.

It was with this sacrifice that Primordial Chaos used to heal this dimension, and even Eva could see that this healing was just on the surface, there was much that needed to be done to complete this process because there were certain tenacious Memories still escaping the hold of the Great Desert.

Which was the entire reason the Lady of Shadows had remained here for so long. She had been tasked by Rowan to document every single Memory of powerful immortals that had escaped the Great Desert and place a sort of traceless tag on each of these Memories.

The reason for this was not stated but understanding the sort of Creator that she followed and his abilities, she knew that the only reason Rowan would want to do something like this was not because he felt guilty about releasing so many powerful individuals back into reality who had been dead since the end of the Primordial Era, no it was because needed to hunt.

Preventing Nemesis from returning to the Great Desert was not just to satisfy the vengeance of Rowan; it was also to leave the gap open in the Great Desert long enough for many of these reality-breaking entities to escape.

Eva did not know the cost in souls that it took for Rowan to reach the fifth dimension in an instant, but she knew that it would be a ridiculous number, and as it was, she did not believe that Reality as a whole could withstand the appetite of Rowan’s future growth, such a thing would be frankly impossible. She was inside the heart of Rowan taken when he was a third-dimensional immortal—even though that cheeky man would always say he was technically a mortal—and even with all the energy she had expended to get to this point, she realized she had not even used half of what was contained within his heart.

To put that into context, she had used enough energy to fuel a hundred eighth-dimensional immortals, and there was still half of it left over. What, then, would it take for an immortal like Rowan to reach a higher dimensional level? Eva suspected that it was only because Soul energy was so potent that a unit of it could equal a vast amount when converted to other forms of energy that Rowan had been able to reach this point.

If he was to hunt for souls in the outside reality, disregarding the risk, then the only places that could satisfy his need would be Primordial Domains, but for now, they were beyond his powers, and he needed a second-best alternative.

Every eighth-dimensional immortal was the product of countless resources and sheer genius, all imbued into a single vessel. In the Primordial Era, such resources were bountiful, but the Supreme Era had less of them. An immortal like Rowan should have only existed in the Primordial Era, and if he needed to grow in this Supreme Era, he could either find a way to return to the past, or he would bring the past down to the present.

With the events that had happened here, Rowan had chosen the latter.

As she had long realized about the immortal that she now served, Rowan’s actions always had a deeper meaning behind them, and the more time that she spent with him, the greater the impact of his actions became impressed in her thoughts. It always amazes her how someone who was still so relatively young could possess such a grand vision for his future. With everything on his plate that he had to deal with, it would be a normal thing for him to simply be bogged down in the present, however, Rowan was still considering his future even as he dealt with the threats of the present.

Her relationship with Rowan had been growing and evolving from the moment he summoned her from the hands of death, from indifference to curiosity, and then respect. Yet as time passed, that respect became flavored with a bit of fear because she could no longer anticipate his actions, his plans were becoming too deep, and he was transforming into an entity that Eva was slowly failing to comprehend.

Fear was the natural reaction when you looked into an abyss, and the Lady of Shadows simply knew that as long as she followed his plans, sooner or later, she would come to see his true vision displayed to the entirety of reality. So this was what she did, following her orders to the letter, as she was no longer a teacher, but now a student.

Eva was also very appreciative of Rowan’s quick growth because she would be able to develop faster if he grew stronger.

In the third dimension, it was because of how insanely strong Rowan’s powers were that she was able to push towards the fifth dimension, and now with him being at the fifth-dimensional level, she should be able to push towards the seventh.

However, the big leap to her abilities would be if Rowan becomes a sixth-dimensional immortal; at that time, Eva would be able to finally reach the eighth-dimensional level and assume her mantle as a Celestial Creator once more.

Rowan had assumed her bloodlines at the beginning before he evolved into something else and so he did not obtain all the benefits of controlling the Palace of Ice.

If she could become a Celestial Creator once more, her Palace of Ice, which had been hidden since the beginning of the Primordial Era, would return to her once more, and her Host of Angels that had once darkened the Gate of the Light and shaken the foundations of the Great Abyss with their numbers would be resurrected. Her presence once more would resound over all of reality.

Her Will vibrated as a dark presence appeared before her,

"Greetings, Fallen Creator, your master summons you home."
