Chapter 608.
After presenting the award, Alexander led Aveline to their exclusive seats. When the lights dimmed, Aveline muttered in his ear: "Why didn't you tell me earlier? I was not mentally prepared at al. I just made a fool of myself on the stage."
Hearing Aveline's complaint, Alexander's lips curved into a doting smile.
"Want me to give you more surprises."
"This is enough. My palms are all sweaty now. I'm going to go to the bathroom."
"Alright."
As soon as Aveline stood up, Alexander looked at Jordan and signaled his men to follow her, not too close, but they should secretly protect Aveline.
Alexander was lazily leaning on the chair and playing with his wedding ring, with a cold glint in his eyes.
The cell phone in his pocket kept vibrating, and even after hanging up several times, the other party still refused to give up. He had no choice but to get up and leave to answer the call.
After Aveline had presented the award, she still felt as if her feet were stepping on clouds and she was in the sky. Her mood was very complicated.
There was a sense of satisfaction that her wish finally came true, but on the other hand, there was a trace of unwillingness in her heart.
She doesn't know why she felt like that.
While she was in a trance, she accidentally bumped into someone. Only then did Aveline regain back her senses. She quickly said, "I'm sorry."
The man was wearing a tall, irregular dress with rose-patterned dark flowers on it. He had short silver hair and a rose diamond earring on his left ear.
The man dressed luxuriously and had a face that was more delicate than a woman's. His narrow eyelids were drooped, covering one-third of his pupils, making him look particularly cold and indifferent.
Was it an illusion? Aveline always felt that the face looked familiar.
The man didn't intend to stay, but he stopped when he saw Aveline, "Miss Blackwood?"
Aveline looked at him, "Do you know me?"
Could it be that he is an old friend from her past, which made her feel familiar?
"We have never met, but I have heard about you for a long time. I wanted to thank you for helping me solve my sister's matter. I have never found a chance to thank you in person. I don't know..."
Aveline raised her head and met the woman in the mirror.
"Hello, Miss Simard." She greeted Carol first.
Carol unscrewed the lid of her lipstick and said with a disdainful expression: "The Simard family has been a famous family for hundreds of years. Why do you think you can compare with me?"
Aveline was a little helpless, "Is being prettier than you considered an advantage?"
It's not that she was boasting; Carol was of average look, and her facial features looked average whether made up or plain.
If it weren't for her couture dress and jewelry, Aveline would be the only person to be noticed at such a banquet, while Carol would be lost in the crowd.
"You!"
Aveline really couldn't help but square up to her, and Carol's face changed instantly.
"He seems to love me very much. Can that be considered a second advantage?"
Aveline said the cruelest words in the most innocent tone.

The readers' comments on the novel: Refusing To Be His Perfect Replica I Choose The Arranged Marriage
The plot is getting really inconsistent now! In the beginning when Aveline was dating some guy named Castro, before marrying Alexander, she had an elder brother supposedly.. but later she became an only child. Not to mention half of the beginning of the story was so mistyped. Also she used to be a jewellery designer, then overnight she became a medical student. Also 200 chapters later, Alexander is still hiding the truth that Jamie is her biological son. Also what a stupid new detail, how the hell did she get pregnant??? When Alexander was feverish, the writer specifically mentioned that they only stopped at kissing.. does kissing makes one pregnant?? Also, the psychotic bitch that Aveline had become, as if she would have allowed Alexander to have s** with her! Get your facts right writer if you still want your readers.. as this story is getting way out of context and just ridiculous!! I had decided to continue give this story another chance but now it seems that this was a huge waste of time!...
