Chapter 108
As she walked, she had already considered all the possible outcomes. All she had to do was sacrifice her pride and cooperate with Nora.
It wasn’t that difficult, really.
Compared to death, what did her self–esteem matter?
This was her first time inside Noble Springs. The interior decoration was exactly to her liking blue arches, horseshoe shaped doors and windows, grey mud walls, and white curtains that looked even more mysterious and romantic in the sea breeze.
But unfortunately, the owner of the house was Nora.
Guided by the servant, Aveline arrived in the living room. The spacious and bright room had a 270–degree circular floor–to–ceiling window, allowing a clear view of the sea from every angle.
She hadn’t seen Nora yet when suddenly, there was an extra accessory on her leg. It was none other than Jamie, whom she hadn’t seen in a while.
“Mommy,” he pronounced, his pronunciation even more accurate than before, sounding incredibly
adorable.
The child’s eyes sparkled like stars in the sky, and Aveline felt a sense of warmth upon seeing him again.
Jamie opened his arms towards Aveline, his chubby little mouth drooling as he said, “Mommy, hug…”
Aveline wanted to reach out and rub his head, but the nanny hurriedly came and took Jamie away.
“Oh dear, my little master, go upstairs quickly. Your mommy has something important to do later,” the nanny said in a rush.
Jamie was very unhappy about being taken away forcibly and immediately started crying, reaching out his arms towards Aveline, “Mommy, mommy.”
Aveline’s heart also felt a pang of pain. She didn’t expect to have such complex emotions towards Nora’s
son.
Nora arrived from upstairs, and from afar, she heard Jamie’s voice, “Good baby, you finally called me mommy. Mommy will come and play with you later.”

Nota sat down on the sofa by herself, and a servant came over to ask, “Madam, what would you like to drink?”
Nora rested her chin on her hand lazily and looked at Aveline, “I heard you’re good at baking cakes.”
“If that’s what it takes to stay in Blackwood’s family mansion, I can bake for you,” Aveline cut to the chase.
Nora stailed, “Aveline, as someone from a business family, hasn’t your father taught you that you have to give something to get something? You standing here today, I’ll assume you’re here to discuss the Blackwood’s family mansion with me. What qualifications do you have to negotiate with me?”
“What do you want to eat?”
“The servant will tell you.”
Following the servant’s instructions, Aveline baked a tray of honey cake.
“Too sweet.”
Aveline baked a second time.
“Too hard.”
On the third and fourth tries, she always found a reason or excuse. By the fifth time, she poured the egg mixture directly onto Aveline’s hair.
Aveline suppressed her anger and let the mixture of batter and egg drip down her hair.
With her head lowered, her long eyelashes covered the emotions in her eyes. Her voice was very low, making it difficult to discern her emotions.
“Ms Kingsley, I’m not a chef, so naturally, I can’t bake something to your taste.”
But Nora continued to act recklessly and arrogantly, saying, “Aveline, I hold grudges. Didn’t I tell you to
bring Maya here? This is the consequence of not listening to me.”
Aveline was well aware that Nora’s current audacity and arrogance were all given by Alexander. She had nothing, and she even had to rely on others, so Nora felt that she could treat her however she wanted.
While Nora was happily enjoying Aveline’s downfall, Aveline, who had been hanging her head all along, suddenly made a move.

Aveline was fast. She picked up the remaining half of the egg mixture and slapped it onto Nora’s face.

The readers' comments on the novel: Refusing To Be His Perfect Replica I Choose The Arranged Marriage
The plot is getting really inconsistent now! In the beginning when Aveline was dating some guy named Castro, before marrying Alexander, she had an elder brother supposedly.. but later she became an only child. Not to mention half of the beginning of the story was so mistyped. Also she used to be a jewellery designer, then overnight she became a medical student. Also 200 chapters later, Alexander is still hiding the truth that Jamie is her biological son. Also what a stupid new detail, how the hell did she get pregnant??? When Alexander was feverish, the writer specifically mentioned that they only stopped at kissing.. does kissing makes one pregnant?? Also, the psychotic bitch that Aveline had become, as if she would have allowed Alexander to have s** with her! Get your facts right writer if you still want your readers.. as this story is getting way out of context and just ridiculous!! I had decided to continue give this story another chance but now it seems that this was a huge waste of time!...
