Passionate Devotion: Master Fudd's Beloved Wife novel Chapter 346

In a hospital in North City.

Yuna brought a flask of wolfberry black chicken herbal soup to the ward.

"Have you divorced Verian yet? I'll say this now; I don't want to be a mistress."

Xavier glanced at her with his keen eyes and replied, "Well, I don't want the media to call me a cheater, either."

"Hmm... that had better be it."

There was a knock on the door.

"Who is it?"

Lain walked into the room with a thermal flask in his hand. She was surprised to see another woman by Heaton's bed.

" Heaton, this is…"

Yuna stood up proudly. "Nice to meet you. I'm Yuna Yames, Heaton's fiance."

There was a gleam in Xavier's eyes, but he did not say anything else.

Lain frowned, but she thought it was a funny comment. "Ms. Yames, what kind of joke is this?"

Yuna raised her eyebrows, but she was not bothered by that comment. "You can ask him yourself if you do not believe me."

Lain pursed her lips and asked, "Heaton, what's going on?"

"I've divorced Verian. This is Ms. Yames, my soon-to-be marriage partner."

"..."

Lain clenched the thermal flask tightly.

She had barely driven Verian away, and a Yuna Yames had appeared!

"Heaton, I've got your favorite yam pork ribs soup. Do you want to try it?"

"I've eaten," Xavier responded coldly.

Yuna crossed her arms and said, "Ms. Heidy, if I were you, I wouldn't be so thick-skinned to stay here. I will be tactful and leave."

"You!" Lain bit her lips, but she could not release her anger. Her face was flushed.

Yuna stretched her arms and gestured for her to leave. She wanted to spend some time alone with Xavier, and she did not want anyone else there.

Lain looked at Heaton, who was still on the bed. Her face soured when she realized that Heaton did not defend her.

She only noticed something was amiss when she left the hospital.

She knew that Heaton Fudd would not divorce Verian just because of a paternity test. No one else knew about the news, so why would Heaton go ahead with the divorce so quickly?

Heaton cared about Verian, so why would he...

Maybe the person she visited in the hospital was not Heaton?

Perhaps he was... Xavier?

Early morning in Florence.

Verian had woken up very early, and she planned to get some groceries from a nearby supermarket. However, just as she walked out of the door, someone held a knife to her throat.

Her instinct was to struggle. However, a vicious voice snarled to warn her. "Don't move!"

"Who are you?"

Verian did not dare to breathe. She trembled fearfully.

"You don't have to know who I am! You just have to know that I'm here to kill you! Get into the car obediently!"

Verian's face paled due to fright. The man forced her to walk toward a black car. Just when she gave up hope of someone rescuing her, the man yelled out in pain. The knife dropped to the ground just as someone else seized the man.

Verian turned around and saw two strong men had pushed the bandit onto the floor.

"Tie him up and report it to Second Young Master."

"Ms. Verian, you must be frightened. I apologize for that."

Verian was still shocked by the incident, and her mind drew a blank. She shook her head, but she looked distracted. Then, a black extended-length Lincoln drove into the small neighborhood.

Both Yandel and Yale got out of the car and walked toward Verian.

Yandel glared at the bandit on the ground. "What happened?"

The bodyguard stepped on the bandit's hand, ruthlessly, with his leather shoes. "Who sent you here! Tell me!"

"It's… It's a woman with the surname Well!"

It was just as they had expected; Jean had sent him.

Then the bodyguard asked, "Second Young Master, what should we do with him?"

Yandel furrowed his brows. He crouched on the floor and gazed at the man. "How much did Jean Well offer to you?"

"Tw-... twenty thousand bucks…"

He did not know if it was his feelings or Heaton's.

He furrowed his brows.

Then he immediately switched off his phone and tossed it onto a nearby couch. However, a minute later, he picked up the phone to contact the previous caller.

"President Fudd, do you have any other orders for me?"

"Continue keeping an eye on her. Report to me if something else happened."

"Yes, sir."

Even though he had issued the commands, Xavier felt weird about it.

He was not Heaton, so why would he send someone to keep an eye on Verian's movements?

Besides, if that woman found out that he had taken control of Heaton's body, she might fly back to kill him.

It would only benefit him if Verian did find a new lover because she would never return to North City then.

However, why did he feel so strange about it?

After he saw the photos, he felt that the situation was a little unfair for Heaton.

In a private hospital in Florence.

The foreign doctor spoke fluent English when he spoke with them. "Ms. Mont is fine. There is no damage to her artery. Everything will be okay if she continues to apply this medicinal cream onto the wound, and don't let it get wet."

Yandel nodded at the instruction. "Thank you."

After the doctor left the room, Yandel knelt in front of Verian, who was still sitting on the bed. He asked in concern, "Does it still hurt?"

"Not anymore. Mr. Soan, thank you so much. If it weren't for you, I would've died."

"You don't have to thank me. We're family. Besides, if I didn't find out that you're my younger sister, you wouldn't be so frightened today."

Verian frowned as she was puzzled. "Who was it that wanted to kill me?"

"Jean Well. She is our father's second wife, and she was the culprit who sent you away. Rainie, Mother, and I have been searching for you all these years. I'm sorry that we only managed to find you now."

"Rainie?"

"Yes. When you were still in Mother's womb, she named you Yanny Soan. Hence, you were initially called Yanny, taken from a Chinese idiom, which signifies light-hearted. Mother hopes that both of us can stay happy and carefree."

"Yanny Soan…"
