Chapter 16
Waylon had warned Braydon a long time ago not to get close to his sister.
But he didn’t expect Braydon to be so shameless, daring to sneak into the private banquet.
His sister almost saw him.
Emma had already suffered so much hardship and hurt by Braydon in the past, that Waylon didn’t even dare to think about the consequences if Emma were to see Braydon again.
So when Waylon saw Braydon about to catch up, he punched him directly.
Braydon, lying on the ground, suddenly vomited a mouthful of blood. He struggled to wipe the blood from the corner of his mouth and tried to get up.
But Waylon didn’t give him the chance at all.
The guests next to them had already scattered when they saw that something was wrong, leaving only two men in the empty hall.
They lay on the ground, their face covered in blood, barely breathing.
Another hand dripping with blood stood on the side, watching coldly.
“Braydon, I warn you, don’t let me see you again in the future, or I’ll beat you every time I see you!”
It wasn’t until Waylon had been gone for a long time that Braydon finally reacted, letting out a bitter laugh.
Did he not see Emma?
It was impossible, he couldn’t do it at all.
In the Corsic family’s car, Emma played on her phone for a long time before she finally saw her brother walking towards her.
“What did you go to do?”
Emma asked curiously.
Waylon was stunned for a moment, then quietly tossed the blood- stained handkerchief out of the car window and spoke calmly.
“Nothing much, I ran into an acquaintance and chatted with him for a few minutes.”
“Sweetheart, it’s been almost five years since you last spent time with us. Can you stay at home and spend some time with us?”
Waylon has already greeted Kade, who is far away in New York, and believes that Braydon will soon be forcibly taken back to New York.
By that time, he would no longer stop his sister from going wherever she wanted.
After hearing her brother’s words, Emma also felt a twinge of guilt in her heart.
In the beginning, she married into a distant family, because the journey was long, and her parents were in poor health, so they had very little time to meet.
And neither she nor her parents wanted the other to worry about them, so they would hide as much as they could. A few words on the phone and then silence would fall on both ends.
In the end, he could only hang up the phone helplessly.
But when Emma came back, she realized that her parents still had so much to say to her.
Even my brother and sister–in–law exclaimed that the house had become much livelier since she came back.
