Marilyn
Marilyn got in her car along with Cameron. She was in the backseat, and he was in the front next to Ashley He told Ashley to wait, and she knew that he was watching for Heath to pull up behind them in their car. Then he told Ashley to pull the car out and head for her home in Bedford.
“The details you and I discussed,” Cameron stated as they drove away. “I think from what you previously explained and what I heard in that meeting today, should be put in place. Otherwise, Miss Riddley, you’re not going to know if he breaches anything that is drawn up and signed by him.”
She nodded, “I know he can’t be trusted at this point in time. That’s why I hired you and your team. What exactly will you put in place?” she asked him.
“Full surveillance of your property, the boys themselves going to and from school. I can’t monitor the school itself. That’s inappropriate without informing the school and obtaining local law enforcement permission through the courts. Takes too long as well. But we can follow Ashley’s car every time she arrives to pick you or the boys up, and drives you around.
“Not Ashley outside of that unless she herself picks up anything suspicious around her. Then, as agreed, there will be one person on your property every day, strolling around watching for anything suspicious, or you can have a full–time live–in guard. That was still something you were considering.”
Marilyn nodded. “Do you think I need it?” she asked.
“I’m not certain at this point, my guy in the hotel restaurant will let me know how that meeting they have without you goes, and we’ll decide from there. Have another meeting tomorrow. I don’t think he’ll breach it today. If he is going to breach it, it’s likely it will be the same way as before. From within his company. Not seen to get his hands dirty that way. That’s usually how wealthy people do things and stay out of jail.
“It gets them off on a technicality, they get hit with a fine and a good behaviour bond, sometimes just a slap on the wrist. It’s why they never learn not to do it again, and have that attitude of I can do what I want, when I want, and don’t concern themselves with the law, ma’am.
“They have got the money to fight for years to wear anyone down. Unfortunately, the reality is you’ll go broke before he does. People with money like he’s got, that’s what they bet on. They don’t even have to turn up to court most of the time, just send their lawyers in, so it goes unmissed by the reporters as well. Just another way to get away with being held accountable,” he stated.
“I’m aware of all that,” she nodded. It was also what Liam had told her back in Houston.
“Heath and I will take a walk around your property today, looking for points of unseen entry and long–range camera shots, find the places that need to be monitored. It is lucky for us, there is only one road in and out. Living at the end of a long dead–end road with only half a dozen homes on it. A good thing for us.
“We’ll set up place to watch those coming and going down the road. We should be able to pick up anyone
the forest behind your house, trying to sneak in quickly. It’s likely to be too much of a hike coming in th several miles of it even before they get to the property border, you’re on six acres, yes?”
“Yes.” She nodded.
CH 88
“The road will be where they come from most likely. I doubt that Calvin Reeves will hire someon
track and traipse through the mountains just to get a new picture of you or the boys.
They arrived at the house and Ashley pulled the car to a stop and Heath pulled his car up right behind it co on about your regular day, we’ll do our thing, and I’ll call by in the morning for that meeting at 9am. He still being monitored so you’re fine.”
“Thank you.” Marilyn nodded and headed inside as Ashley drove away.
It was going to be a long 10 and a half weeks until that restraining order was over, but this was, she knew
truly going to be the only way she could know if Calvin would abide by the law. It wasn’t illegal on her part, because all she was doing was watching herself, her boys and the property for him, not monitoring Calvin
himself.
She got that contract via docusign later in the afternoon and read through it. There weren’t just clauses in it
for Calvin but also for herself:
- Marilyn agrees not to disappear with the children Callum and Vincent while under this contract.
- a.
This clause is dependent on Clavin Reeves adhering to all of his clauses.
- 2.
If Calvin breaches even one clause, Marilyn has the right to null and void this contract, and reinstate the AVO and Restraining order for a further 12 months from the date of known breach.
- 3.
If Calvin adheres to everything in this contact, Marilyn will; willingly sit down and sort out visitation between Calvin and her and his sons, Callum and Vincent Riddley. With a view to sorting out proper formalised and legal custody agreements between the two parties.
- Marilyn will inform William Jameson if she plans on going away with the boys for vacation during the period of this contract.
- Marilyn will inform Calvin Reeves and his attorney, William Jameson, if she is planning on leaving the country for either business reasons or pleasure. The dates of both leaving and returning to the country and the flight details.
- a.
If a circumstance arises where Marilyn finds herself needing to travel interstate by plane, for whatever reason. Calvin Reeves agrees to allow Marilyn and the two boys, Callum and Vincent, the use of his private plane. To help manage and control episodes of her claustrophobia, (Marrin was able to travel on the private jet without issue, previously during their three years of marriage. William Jameson can attest to this.)
- 6.
Marilyn agrees to have Calvin put on both of her son’s birth certificates and make amendments to her current will, as per her statement in today’s meeting 8th October, with all parties having heard her state she
- a.
It will be amended to state that Calvin Reeves is to be both Callum and Vincent Riddley’s legal guardian in the event of something unforeseen happening to Miss Riddley.
- b.
Marilyn will notify William Jameson of the changes and send a photocopy of proof (the new clause in her will, not the entirety of her will.)
All birth certificate documentation will be forwarded to William Janson and he, as Calvin Reeves‘ attorney, will have Calvin sign them. Then be responsible for returning them to Marilyn Riddley.
- d.
Marilyn will then file the changes and send a copy of the new birth certificates to William Jameson to keep on file for Calvin Reeves.
- Marilyn will, in earnest, consider allowing Calvin to meet his sons Callum and Vincent prior to 25th of December, but not before 20th of December. To sit down and discuss the Christmas holiday and him visiting
- 8.
Marilyn shook her head at the last two clauses in that contact. Calvin had brought up Christmas already, and she knew the twins had as well. Likely she was going to have to deal with him on that day, but clause 8, that was interesting to her, the way it was worded got all her memories back.
There was a full loophole there that she could exploit. Because all her memories may never return, but she could well regain most of them, but not all of them; that was interesting to her. Then in that same clause was that she was to tell Wil and or Calvin, not both of them. It read as though she could choose who she wanted to tell. One or the other, not both, again a loophole that could be exploited. Then she supposed that could also mean that the meeting could mean one or the other as well. That had to be Liam’s doing for sure.
