CH 79
Wil
He was sitting on the edge of his bed pulling shoes on, getting ready for his flight to Virginia. There were, annoyingly, no direct flights that he could take, so he had to leave at 13:48 in the afternoon and have a one–hour layover in North Carolina before getting into Roanoke–Blacksburg regional airport at 19:45 at night.
He could take a morning flight and get there at four in the afternoon, but that would still push the meeting to the next day due to being outside of school hours. Frustrating it was for him. But Anabell had already left for court this morning and wished him good luck, and told him to tell Marilyn to stand her ground and not back
down.
To which Wil had actually frowned at her, as she’d kissed him before heading out herself. “Whose side are you on?” he’d questioned her as he’d held the door open for her.
She’d smiled at him. “Marilyn’s, of course, Writers before Blighters.” had come out of her, and he’d shaken his head the British slang, but her current divorce case was a British woman divorcing her American husband, and she came home with all sorts of new words, that she liked to put into use herself, thought it was funny
and at times it did make them both laugh.
She’d stated it all happily too, before she waved as he’d closed the doors. He should have known the answer and kept his mouth closed. Not once had she shown sympathy towards Calvin, even after finding out Marilyn
was Marrin.
His phone chimed with a notification, and he hoped his flight wasn’t going to be delayed. He pulled it from his pocket and looked at it. The notification read email; L’Stevens. Surprised him more than a little, he hoped Marilyn hadn’t changed her mind. Touched it open and then sat and read the request. It was odd to say the
least.
He replied to it, “I’m about to leave for the airport, I’ll do my best to accommodate her request.” And then he checked the time. He only had to be there an hour prior to boarding. It was a domestic flight; no going through customs.
He got up and grabbed his bag, and headed downstairs. The company car was waiting for him. He rode the elevator thinking about what to actually do about that request. Should he agree to it or decline it, then wondered why now of all times? That was the curious thing for him.
He nodded in greeting to the driver as the man took his luggage, and he got into the car. He didn’t know if the request was wise at this particular time. Lou got in behind the wheel. “We’ll be at the airport in about 45 minutes. The traffic’s not too bad today, Mr Jameson.”
“Change of plans, Lou, take me to where Calvin is,” he stated.
“You’ll miss your flight with a trip to the office.” Lou replied as he pulled them out into traffic.
“It can’t be helped, I’ll use Calvin’s Jet instead,” he commented. “Did you drive Calvin to the office this morning?” Wil asked, he’d managed to get Calvin to have a permanent driver every day in an effort for Wil to know he wasn’t going off and doing something he shouldn’t be.
“I did, dropped him off at nine, myself.”

“Good, Calvin first, I’ll call the pilot.” He nodded and did just that, put a call to Maeve. “Morning Maeve, it’s Wil. I need to use the jet. Can you fuel it up and log a flight plan to Roanoke–Blacksburg regional airport, Virginia please for this afternoon with a return flight for tomorrow.”
“I can Wil, is Calvin aware of you using his jet? I’ll have to message him.” She stated right back.
“I’m on my way to see him about it now. I’ll tell him in person. Say leave at around 2pm.”
“Alright, I’ll see you at the strip. If Calvin will give permission, I’ll need a confirmation message from him before I start logging things.”
“I’m aware of the rules Maeve, he’ll be on that flight himself,” Will told her, and ended the call. He didn’t think Calvin was going to say no to the request of being there in the meeting tomorrow, something apparently Marilyn herself had asked for.
He walked into Calvin’s office. The man was sitting at his desk working on his computer. He looked at Wil and then his watch and frowned. “Shouldn’t you be at the airport?” he asked.
“I should, but I have got a request that needs to be dealt with, and so I’ll be missing my flight and taking your jet, set to leave at two o’clock. You need to clear that with Maeve.”
“Alright.” Calvin nodded. “What’s the request and why did it bring you to me in person?”
“You’re the request… Apparently Marilyn herself has requested you be at this meeting tomorrow. So you’re dropping whatever you’ve got on, to join me.”
He saw complete surprise on Calvin’s face and then a slight smile, and Wil rolled his eyes a little. “Stop thinking that, I seriously doubt it’s anything good. Likely could be you’re getting served with a new restraining order or a new contractual agreement that she wants your signature on.
“Do not start thinking she’s going to smile at you, and welcome you with open arms. I’m also only agreeing to it because Liam and I will both be in the room at all times. So get your butt up, and let’s get you packed,” Wil
“I don’t need to pack, I have half a dozen suits on the plane at all times. You know this,” Calvin stated, but he
“I was.” Calvin nodded. “But if this is a legal meeting, wouldn’t a suit be appropriate?”
“Yes, I’m thinking let’s not present the billionaire, but the man that loves her. It might trigger something in her memories. You never know.” Wil stated, “Show her.” he waved a hand down over Calvin’s body “your softer side, the one I know she more than liked.” He half smiled.
“Alright.” Calvin agreed. “I’m listening and will do what you think is best. We’ll have to drop into my a for that.”
